"The instances of SCP-1265-1 are observed to be moving in herds. This occurence has confirmed that the subjects do indeed move in herds."

Fun fact, the term "Thagomizer" was a joke made by cartoonist Gary Larson, named after the late caveman, Thag Simmons, the curators at the Smithsonian museum of natural history liked it so much they started including it as part of the tour, and after 5 years it became a recognized scientific name for the spiked end of various dinosaurs, specifically Stegosaurus

Sometimes I just want to sit Dr Miller down, look him deep in the eye, and tell him we are indeed still and always listening.

Little bit disappointed that this isn't about an ancient, sentient jam.

Welcome Dr. Millar to SCP Park.

#1765 - Doctor Bright may not, and I repeat MAY NOT use SCP-1265 to film a recreation of ‘Jurassic Park’ because “there hasn’t been a single good sequel”

It’s SCPs like this that would get me banned from the foundation. I’d try to ride a Spinosaurous

Whoever wrote this SCP knows a lot about actual dinosaurs, and I really like that.

"I don't trust dinosaur meat, especially given what was found at that farm in China."

I was hoping this file would reference that one! Yay! 😁👍

What? Theropod Dinosaurs actually depicted with feathers? Do my eyes deceive me?

I love the Postosuchus and Coelophysis part about 11:25 into the video. For those who haven't seen it, there was a documentary mini-series called "Walking with Dinosaurs" made by BBC a long time ago. In that documentary, there was a scene where a Postosuchus was slowing dying from dehydration and succumbing to injuries, and a herd of tiny Coelophysis waited for it to die and started eating it. I'm not sure whether it's a direct reference, but it's still really cool!

What I love about this SCP is that it draws from actual folklore and legends from the Congo area. I grew up hearing these legends in Africa.

Random guy: Boy. I sure am glad dinosaurs aren't around anymore.

Mother Nature: Time, hold my beer.

Father Time: Go ahead, sweety! I got your beer!

Hypothesis: 1265 is a reserve made by time travelers who fucked up and accidentally placed it in the wrong time, but were unable to fix it so instead just tried to minimize the possible temporal damage it could cause by making the Dinos unable to leave the area.

I hope they don't turn the place into an amusement park or something.

Ah yes, the Thagomizer. Named after the late Thag Simmons.

"Before Elves, before Dwarfs, before Men, the Old Ones arrived upon this world. Then came Chaos and the Great Plan of the Old Ones was unmade. We are the last of their servants, and only by our hand shall the Great Plan be restored, with the total defeat of the usurping younger races."
