Brilliant picture quality. Sublime commentary from John Motson. Sorely missed since his death.

I was 12.  Great memory.  One of the best from the 80s

I love these old fa cup finals

I remember watching the entire game live as a 10 year old.

Gary Bailey went down in instalments for that first Brighton goal

I was actually there at the match. Lifelong United fan but i was sitting in the section with the Brighton players families as i knew Chris Ramsey (Brighton full-back). Great memory of Wilkins goal. I was sitting level with the penalty area and his shot was coming in our direction and i was sure it would go wide but then it curled in.

Superb finish from Smith.

One of THE last great FA Cup Finals in England

RIP Robinson and Wilkins

Déjà vu for Jimmy Case, 6 years to the day/ date he was playing against Manchester United in the FA Cup Final (that time for Liverpool).

Number 5 for Brighton - Stevens was man of the match for me in this scrap.

Before there was GREED  ..9BG( BEFORE GREED)

Just chip the ball over Bailey and the blue ribbons are on the Cup. How frustrating it was, so close, but yet so far.

Smith should've scored

Bryan Robson 1983 ..£2k a week....
2026 ..haaland £500 k a week

Stevens and gatting.theyre numbers are wrong.

Norman Whiteside was such a dirty player

And SMITH MUST SCORE....

ROBINSON WOULD HAVE...

Im MU but Whiteside was a thug, even at 18. Forcing the right back off and Brighton conceding just after. It changed the game, and sadly thuggery won out. Mind you, Case was also doing his bit of thuggery too. I was 13 here, this and the 79 Final were the best for me.
