"You Can't Tell Me They Just Left This Here?"

How to Find Gold | Prospector Nic

I followed an old trench and a forgotten hole up the side of a remote hillside — and it led straight to one of the richest gold discoveries I’ve made so far. Within a short time, I uncovered nearly half an ounce of high-quality gold, and this is just the beginning. The signs of ancient workings, scattered alluvial gold, and untouched ground suggest a massive pay streak waiting to be uncovered.

In this video, I break down the clues that led me here — from reading the terrain and identifying old digger trenches to spotting the telltale signs of historical gold workings that most people walk right past. If you’re passionate about gold prospecting, metal detecting, or exploring forgotten goldfields across Australia, this episode shows exactly how to piece it all together in the field.

Learn how to find gold like the old timers did, using modern techniques that actually work today.

First time watching your video. Liked it and can't wait for the next one!

If you can't find it yourself watching someone else find it is very entertaining.

I charge my detector as I'm driving along. There's nothing worse than getting to a spot and realising you have a half flat battery. Awesome looking gold. A lot of those pieces would look fantastic, mounted just as they are. Well done. Another great video.

Sometimes I notice that you throw some of the dirt away without checking it because you hear in the other scoop that that’s making noise but you should check what’s in your hand before you throw it away

You’re a true, authentic gold prospector, every find feels like striking history itself. Your YouTube gold show is hands-down my favorite. I can see it now: one day you’ll uncover a chunk of gold the size of a baked potato, and fans from around the world will cheer with you.

See it. Feel it. Be it.

Love your videos, the only gold detecting ones i watch now. Your editing is first class, also find the background music relaxing, not overbearing like other channels. Keep up the good work.

What an incredible spot, I can't quite believe the first guys ripped through there in 3 weeks.
Thanks for taking us with you.

A tip for removing ticks..carry matches, or a lighter, (just need a heat source). If it's a match you use-light it and immediately blow it out and put the hot end on the tail end of the tick- same principle with a lighter..get a stick hot and apply it to the body of the tick- It will back out on it's own and not leave it's head inside of your skin that could possibly lead to an infection.

Nice video as always. The LiDAR of that canyon area and surrounds still show how heavily it was hit for sure! Lot of dirt moved in only 3 weeks! 😉
