My dears, in this scene, we witness a great performance as Kaffee (Tom Cruise) investigates the death of a soldier at Guantanamo Bay, engaging in a pivotal courtroom confrontation with Colonel Jessup (Jack Nicholson) during a military trial.

🎬A Few Good Men (1992): Lt. Daniel Kaffee (Tom Cruise) is a military lawyer defending two U.S. Marines charged with killing a fellow Marine at the Guantanamo Bay Naval Base in Cuba. Although Kaffee is known for seeking plea bargains, a fellow lawyer, Lt. Cdr. JoAnne Galloway (Demi Moore), convinces him that the accused marines were most likely carrying out an order from a commanding officer. Kaffee takes a risk by calling Col. Nathan R. Jessep (Jack Nicholson) to the stand in an effort to uncover the conspiracy.

I never tire of seeing this clip.

This is what I ask every Marine I meet: Did you order the code red?!

What I love about this movie is that is shows that nobody is above the law- Col Jessup thought he was God, untouchable. This movie was so good, I went to go see it 2-3 times at the theater with different friends in high school.

Jessup; the prime example of the self-appointed "Greater than all humanity combined," delusional, narcissistic "leader" who fully believes humanity could never survive without him. I couldn't stand that kind of person in the past, and I loathe the type now.
Excellent film written by my favorite writer, Aaron Sorkin, with absolutely superb acting.

Jack Nicholson has such an amazing voice.

Blows my mind that some people view Jessup as right in this movie, and a good leader
He hides behind his command/duty when it suits him but he's a hypocrite. He's talking about "honor, code, loyalty" - but none of that showed in his actions after Santiago's death. He had no honor or loyalty to his men, just left them out to dry

Loved the ending: How Tom Cruise aka Kaffy gives it back to Jessop aka Jack Nicholson!

Jack Nicholson improvised, You can’t handle the truth! The original line in the script was, you already know the truth.

Can’t believe I’m the same age Tom was in this movie

I knew a bartender who looked kinda like Nicholson, and sometimes I'd go in when it was busy and order vermouth, just so he could do his best Jack and holler, "You can't handle vermouth!"

You want the truth? You can't handle the truth! No truth-handler, you. Bah! I deride your truth-handling abilities!

I'd have stated he's nothing more than a criminal. He has no honour and a loyalty to himself.

In that case...you will ruin everything...you are responsible for whatever happens

Based on my observations, individuals with a military background tend to take responsibility for their actions more readily due to their ingrained values of discipline and accountability. This observation applies not only to the U.S. military but worldwide.
