#thementalist showcases the extraordinary genius of Patrick Jane, a man who solves crimes without weapons or psychic powers—only his mind. With razor-sharp observation and deep psychological insight, Jane reads people like open books, catching the smallest details others miss.
He doesn’t chase criminals—he outthinks them. By manipulating emotions, setting mental traps, and exposing lies, Patrick Jane stays steps ahead of everyone in the room. Behind his calm smile lies a brilliant strategist driven by a dark past, making every solved case feel like a battle of minds—and Jane almost always wins.

"Honestly, it's not as bad as it looks."

My son just started watching the series, it takes every ounce of self control not to tell him who Red John is

"An innocent man would've punched me by now" such a great line

I always laugh when he says "honestly it's not as bad as it looks".

It's such a perfectly written line and he delivers it so well.

I do wish that he had a quick cases like this scattered throughout the entire series. They did it more at the beginning and they stopped.

I love this series, I must have seen the whole series at least five times. You should watch it, it's more funny then most so called drama's.

Watching this highlighted how often the situation got out of control when he solved a case quickly which is probably why he didn't do it more often.

That last one was one of the best openings.

Besides Jane, Cho was my favourite character. He was also the only one of the team that Jane was never able to look like a fool.

He was a boulder that the tornado (Jane) had to simply flow around and leave alone.

This is SO much better than the ones where some "voice-over" "explains" everything and you just see, like, silent clips from the show that's being "explained."
