Thank you Doug, the image immediately spoke to me and shone through as a peaceful beautiful watercolour amongst a busy YT feed. I am endlessly inspired and will get my materials ready to try following your explanations. I love the understated natural colours in your painting as opposed to bold big flowers which I sometimes go for . Your painting touches a part of me wishing for a peaceful retreat. Many many thanks

Had so much fun trying this cute cottage. My 3rd line and wash. I've been teaching myself watercolor for about a year. This is so freeing and quick.

Wonderful tutorial. Thank you do this. May I add that I absolutely enjoy the overall mood of your video. I felt like I spent 27 minutes in your company and enjoyed it very much. Great balance between advice, casual small talks and guidance. Subscribed!

I am very new to Watercolour and sketching in general. I love your style and your laid back chat. I love the fact that watercolour by the very nature of it, It never looks perfect. So I dont feel too bad when my work looks shabby.. Its all good fun. Slowly working my way thru your channel.

Thank you for the video demonstration Doug. I must say that I do like your honest style and self criticism which is refreshing these days. As you say, I think the work on the tree is a little heavy and it competes with what should be the focal point which is the cottage. I say cottage by the way as barns don't generally have fireplaces, especially one of this size.

If I could do that I would be so happy I would be dancing in the street!

I love this type of painting. I am very new to watercolor and saving selected ones I see to try out. This is one I am definitely saving this.

Its amazing that people lived their lives in there, and the history comes out in paintings. Great video, thank you. I'm looking at old schools at the moment.

This is gorgeous, your style has such a lot of charm. I can’t resist trying it myself later, but i already know that mine will be 20% as good and i’ll be disappointed 😏

You caught the character of this scene beautifully, love how relaxed you work here. Just got materials for doing line and wash ... all I need is practice, practice and a ton more practice. 😜 Thanks for showing us how to be more relaxed and not to worry about every detail. I really like this one.
