It's actually going to be more of a regional train than a commuter. That's also why it has so few doors.

I was actually the very first passenger to board this train when "unofficially" it premiered earlier in May. It's first passenger service was sometime after 6 in the morning (06:50 iirc) and we were a whole bunch of people lining up to ride and I was at the door ready to press the open button when it lit up green. The first journey would take us on the short commute to Älvängen and back, and then later at 10:00 another train would go to Vänersborg. And then during the summer it had it's official premier.

Also the older X10 units aren't in service here, they used to be in service as the Stockholm commuter train. The older units in Gothenburg are either X11, X12, or X14 trains.
There's only three X10 still driving and they're run for special services by Tågab. Which is quite an odd train operator that has services between Stockholm & Gothenburg via Karlstad, and they run old 60s carriages. HIGHLY recommend checking them out somtime. And funnily enough I had an entire empty 1st class carriage for myself once on a service from Stockholm to Gothenburg but most people hopped off in Karlstad, and after Kil I was alone in the 1st class carriage.

Worth mentioning about the price is that the ticket works for all public transport in the county for 'bout 3 hours, so that same ticket probably got him the return journey. Anywho, good work and keep up the good work

First of all. It's a regional train. The commuter lines around Gothenburg end in Älvängen, Alingsås and Kungsbacka. Secondly, X80 are built in Hennigsdorf. Only the train bodies are built in china.

As someone who takes this train line regularly I would say these super wide doors look better than the current setup tbh
