Refreshing to hear someone tell their true story (good times and less good times) with give honest feedback. Probably why your clients relate and you have done well in a business that can be more about perception than reality. I grew up here, move away with college, USMC, business, travelled the world and eventually moved back to care for my mother. Wasn’t super excited to be back in Dallas but now that I have raised my kids in Sunnyvale, would not trade for anyplace else.

I've lived in Dallas since 84 and visited all the other cities you mentioned above. Dallas is by far hands down the BEST city to live in compared to the others.

I’m a Pittsburgh citizen for the past 10 years. It’s an amazing city with great history and culture. Beautiful sights with 4 seasons. Indeed it’s a great city to live in. There will be a couple of cold winter months but can be manageable. No hustle and bustle, pretty safe place to live I think. Thanks for sharing about PITT in this post!!!

Stayed in downtown Pittsburgh for a conference, went to a Pirates game. It was wonderful.

Bless your heart Brother, You are one of the real-deal lone stars ⭐
I've been through a few rough patches myself, moved out from California family at 23 and was just wandering around Dallas, Irving, Garland for 10 years, and then finally, home sweet home FW (820W)
Now, we've got it good, settling roots down, I really love it here, just humble and grateful everyday.
Great video nonetheless, thanks for sharing, cheers.

Don't move to Dallas in 2026 unless you have a great job. The cost of living is still not matching up with salaries. Texas has no state individual income tax, but property taxes, housing costs, insurance, and other expenses can still add up quickly.

Dallas used to feel like a bargain compared with places like New York and California. Now, some parts of the Dallas area are getting surprisingly expensive 😂 but salaries don't always keep up with the rising cost of living. If you're moving here, make sure the job and salary actually justify the cost.
