People in the future must have really good eyes for that tiny screen.

In the first season, quite early on, Beverly Crusher had to secretly scan a person on the hidden planet. The scanner stick wasn’t allowed to make any noise, otherwise the person would have noticed. So theoretically, the scan sound must be able to be turned off. 😅

No nitpicking here. I have one of the Playmates ones and THIS BLOWS IT RIGHT OUT OF THE WATER. I would love to have this! 👍🏻

When nitpickers complain, their missing the point of what props like these are supposed to be. These companies don't want to make a specific tricorder used in a specific episode, used by a certain character in the show. That's a completely different type of prop. These companies aren't making one specific tricorder, they're making an around general idea of what a tricorder is supposed to be in the show. They intention is not to make one specific individual happy making it to only his specifications. They don't even know you exist, so stop being so conceited. This tricorder is exactly how I always imagined it would be if prop makers had access to this technology back then. It's PERFECT! 😍

I am geeking out while watching this video....brought back my childhood....I love TNG!!!!!

The best tricorder I've ever seen. I would love to see a company like this put the same effort into making a functional TNG comm badge with the inner circuitry as seen in "Brothers".

Nice review. I received mine today after a one year wait. I got #815/1000.
I love this prop!

Wow, looks so awesome with this real screen! 👍

The Mark IX Is my favorite style but that is one sweet medical tricorder!

They finally diffused the lights effectively. First production Tricorder I've seen pull this off.

I need this in my life.❤❤❤

Oh, this is the item you were telling me about in DMs!

Looks excellent. The display, wow. Thanks for the video.

Thanks for your presentation on nitpickers, I completely agree with you. I have the TOS tricorder from Wand Company and have also read some reviews complaining that it looks cheap and is inaccurate. One person even complained that he had to pay so much money because he could only order it in the UK, saying that Star Trek was invented in the US and wouldn't be possible without America.
I'm from Germany and have built some props myself, and I paid around €380 for the tricorder, which is comparable to the US price including extra customs duties, and I think it's perfect. It has a ton of features, including archive material as audio and video files, plus real sensors for magnetic fields, temperature, air pressure, audio, etc., and a sharp video screen. Nevertheless, there are people who complain. So, thank you again for that; you speak from my heart!

Amazing!! Congrats!  Thank you for sharing.  I have been on the wish list for this at Factory Entertainment for a while now.   Salute!!

Super dope review and camera work!

That's amazing. I had the playmates toy when I was a kid and I thought that was incredible, but this is multiple next levels.

Absolutely amazing!

Why couldn't they just make a smartphone that looks like that? It would be cool.

Your reactions are priceless! 😄
