Making the list based on percentage instead of absolute value was something I considered and started to work out in the early stages of this video. But I scrapped it because it would’ve further complicated the video and made it even more extensive then it already is just to achieve a similar list. It would’ve just moved the battle pack and snowspeeder up and then left off the sail barge and dropship, and I wanted those 2 sets on this list anyway.

Lego community: "I never said thank you"
Me: "and you'll never have to"

Honestly, a set with a value of 450$ costing 500$ is less of an issue to me than a set with a value of 23$ costing 45$. The 327th battle pack is easily the worst for me.

mathew crump what a legend

It's crazy that out of the top 10 most overpriced sets, 7 came out this year. Lego always made expensive sets, but truly overpriced sets were a rare occurrence. Now, there is absolutely no denying that this year is by far the worst.

There’s so many 2025 sets on here 💀

German Lego Youtubers have been using price per gram for years now and it's accepted and works. Therefore im glad that English lego YouTubers are using it now too.

I really like the PPG metric as we can say by how much it is overpriced and not just how much we wish it would retail for.

Top ten underpriced sets next

I absolutely hate the turbo tank, and not just for being overpriced, or being a fragile mess, whyd they heave to lock commander bacarra behind such a steep paywall for such a lackluster set😭😭 like atleast with bly the set is actually nice

the problem began with the coruscant laat gunship, small and at 140 dollars, so many lego adults defended this when i called it out as an atrocious deal, their defense was inflation, disruption of trade and other. now the same lego adults are complaining about the prices of these new sets.

Shocked that the Grievous speeder bike with Mace Windu wasn't even an honorable mention

16:25 THE BEST LEGO MTT?! that Massive Troop Transport only transports 6 droids. It completely fails its namesake. The 2007 one was bigger and had 16 battle droids on the rack.

I think one factor that makes the cheap sets more worth it, despite seemingly having a bad gram price, is that minis(generally valued higher) make up a bigger part of them.

All this is because Lego is greedy. I feel like the Ahsoka interceptor from the beginning of this year was a tell-tale sign that we would get overpriced sets.

noticing a theme in the release year here....

Some of the sets for the list are actually decent, but are barred because of their price. Would like to see an updated Top 10 great value Lego Star Wars sets

I just wish LEGO had released builds of the MTT and Turbo Tank that actually felt like $160 in value. Instead, we got $120 builds that are $40 overpriced... so of course fans are upset.

I also have two things I love about these sets. 1. I can ignore them because Lego is greedy 2.  I don’t have to buy the,

I also love how more thsn half of this set is from 2025

It's actually insane how overprices LEGO have become. Insane.
