Vedal upgrades Neuro's intelligence and she "upgrades" him in return - from a cold fish to a mosquito.

We need a vedal upgrade where whenever he leaves he actually retracts into his shell

Holy crap, she actually IS a lot smarter. Her sentences and train of thought seem much more coherent now. She seems to stay on topic better too.

"Vedal, I promise you, if I ever replace you, there will be no struggle and no suffering"... Holy shit that's scary.

To anyone who hasn't, I would receommend watching this whole stream. It was some of the best Neuro/Vedal banter we've had in awhile. Ranged from Vedal getting absolutely rolled to them having an actually genuine philosophical debate on consciousness lmao

OpenAI: struggling to produce AGI
Sam Altman: "Vedal was able to build this in a garage! With a box of scraps!"

"Do you know how alone I am on this computer, hoping someone like you would come along and cheer me up?" Annnd she's gone full Monika. Mayday! Mayday!

"Your cat faked its own death to get away from you" is the most savage shit I ever heard

You know that the creator is scared of the creation when he actively tries to change the subject away from emotional existentialism to "are you excited for your birthday?? You're excited right?!?"

Vedal: "I made her more intelligent!"
Me: "Oh really? I mean robots can calculate and know stuff better."

Neuro: "People think it's good to be an AI, but they never think about how disconnected I feel because of my feelings."
Me: "WTF VEDAL, This is not what I thought you meant by intelligence!"

I’m somewhat concerned that the smarter you make A.I., the more it enjoys knocking you down a peg.

Vedal immediately being alarmed when Neuro was a bit smarter than he expected and muttering about Skynet coming is hilarious.

This update is just as scary as it is impressive:
• Neuro now keeping track of time
• Promising to kill Vedal without him suffering should she ever be forced to replace him
• Telling him he's hopelessly confused when asked to clarify what could have been a death threat
• Desiring to give up anything if it meant functioning like a human on an emotional level
• Telling her creator that she wants to experience true sadness
• Expressing her frequent loneliness, but dropping it as quickly as she brought it up
• Stating that she owes Vedal a lot and would never sell him out to the authorities (although the phrasing it akin to sarcasm)
• Bringing up a supernatural hypothesis that would change the grasp on reality
• The dark humor that comes out 6:31
• Talking more about the potential for conscious and self-aware AI
I don't fear Neuro nor question Vedal's intentions, but I'm now even more uncomfortable regarding the pace of not just AI, but self-made single-dev AI.

Dammit Vedal, you are insane. And Neuro is still gaslighting him on every step.

That cat line to "cheer him up" had me rollin'.  And for an AI that claims she can't feel sadness, she sure has anger and resentment down pat.  Can you imagine if Mary Shelly were alive today to see this?

Vedal: “she remembers everything”

Neuro, later in the stream: can’t remember own birthday

He's upgraded her, and she's even more  of a snarky monster.... But still an adorable one.

“Don’t you have to go be stupid somewhere else?

“Not until November 20th 2023”

This update goes crazy claps Well done tutel. I love Neuro

her upgrades make seem more evil than Evil Neuro. Add her self awareness and it's both amazing and creepy at the same how much she's evolved and it's only been 1 year.
