Worth $7K more than another OM System 100-400 mm lens? That depends! Lots of real-life examples and experiences using the OM SYSTEM Olympus M.Zuiko Digital ED 150-400 mm F4.5 TC 1.25x IS PRO telephoto lens commonly referred to as "Big White" with my OM System OM-1 Mark2 camera body. Excellent quality and very versatile, the 150-400 mm F4.5 works great with both the 1.4 and 2.0 teleconverters in addition to the internal 1.25 teleconverter. Discussion of other OM System big lenses are Included.

Is "Big White" your dream MFT lens? The 100-400 and 150-600 bring a lot of value and utillity to the table. The 300 F4 prime is a special lens that is the best in its space of 600-800mm.

Thanks. I had an encounter with them many years back. They are super friendly. My friend and I just walked to where they were and they flew right to us. The 150-400 Pro is an amazing lens and no regrets in the purchase. Still have sticker shock. I will take the zoom with the built-in TC over a fixed focal length any day of the week. I will use the 150-400mm with the TC-20 when needed. I did so the other day to photograph butterflies and got great results.

Amazing to hear the owl sound around 9:00. Wonder what mic you are using. Not using internal one but if were I will be shocked..

For people who don’t know whenever he says 150-400 he is talking about 300-800 equivalent on full frame I love the m43 system

I haven’t try the big white. I have the 150-600 and find it’s extremely sharp but like you mentioned heavier than big white. I can’t justify the 3 times cost difference for my excellent results I get.

Add the 50-200 2.8 Pro with the TCs and it almost makes the 300 redundant.

May I ask where you are searching? I live in the Sun City center area and there are some spotting around here and I’m going to start looking myself.

I used to shoot Sony. The a1 with the 200-600. Finally I was realistic. I am 70 , bad knees and it was just too much. So the 100-400 and the 300 f4 is more than enough. So no big white for myself.
