I just wanted to say I appreciate everyone giving this video support! I hope you check out my other videos and I promise my other scripts are way better than this one!

I think they should remake this game the graphics have come a long way not to mention this year marks the 50th anniversary of Jaws.

I have the same opinion: It was fun and amazing when I was younger, but now it's fine. It's a cool concept, but fine. Funny enough, before shit hit the fan for them, I wrote to the game's publishers, Majesco Entertainment, about how I ended up researching and learning about sharks. I actually got invited by the programmers and publishers to Majesco HQ and got a full-on tour and making of Jaws Unleashed.

They gave me a folder of concept art and marketing stuff I still own. My nostalgia runs deep in the ocean for this game, and I consider it the only good Jaws sequel.

ManEater proved that Jaws (now celebrating it's 50th anniversary) deserves a modern video game adaptation...
A good old modern Amity ShaRk-PG...

All the fish and animals can be interacted with. You need to upgrade your power to swim into certain areas. It's actually hilarious because you can grab onto and throw whale sharks and orcas lol.

VERY AMAZING insight and review over all. I agree with all the points made.

As for my opinion though, I think JAWS UNLEASHED for me is still the greatest Shark simulator ever made

1 Open world - When not doing missions, it's like a GTA but shark, swim around, eat people, tear down boats and terrorize the sea.

2 : Sure there are abilities to be unlocked, but most of them are grounded by reality, storks screw attack, leap attack, and eating people is very gory and the way you can choose which part to knaw and rip off is sadistically satisfying. The fact you can eat people here in a slow and painful way is FANTASTIC.

3. Missions with battle on mind like ( ANGRY ARMADA ) one in which you fight police boats, helicopters, and subs shooting torpedos at you is actually exhilarating.

So, I guess I'm one of those you can't say blinded by nostalgia, yes I do know this game exists when I was 7, but I didn't get to play it myself until 2020! So with my experience, it's way better ( for me ) than man eater. Man eater is good. But what kills it for me is the gimmicks and and glowing mystical sharks.
Again, no hate for that game, love it too. But Jaws unleashed I prefer more.
But if there's one thing I hate about JAWS unleashed is the cutscenes and human character models. They look so PS1 with their mouths not moving.

If they remaster this game, best believe ill play the hell out of it. This game was part of my childhood

Wow the cinematics in this game look wild! I really didn't like boat bosses in shark games myself either; just never seen one that was fun. Glad to see CQ back in the trenches covering an underwater game again.

3:48 thats all i did in this game, I didn't get far in the story at all, once I found out there was an open ocean level I just played that and explored

Now this deserves a remake in 2025

No matter how much I loved Maneater and the amount of times I played it, I felt like for  a megalodon that is as big as a sperm whale, the dmg and bite force in the game was kinda underwhelming. But I guess they had to balance the game somehow.

Jaws Unleashed was one of my favorite games, so I am glad to see a video about it (not the only one who saw the similarities of Maneater). Fun fact, Orcas and Sharks have BEEF in the real world, mostly Orcas terrorizing sharks, so it's safe to assume Bruce just has generational trauma, LOL.

Good video, I don’t know why this suddenly popped up on my recommended, but I am glad it did.

JAWS Unleashed and Bully were the games of my childhoood

They need to remake or remaster this game. I miss playing it. In my honest opinion JAWS Unleashed is a far better shark game because the story and missions play out so much better than Maneater. I hated how in Maneater the main progress in the game was to do repetitive missions to level up and be able to destroy whatever Apex Predator boss there was. It was extremely tedious. In Jaws however the missions felt so much better because you were causing mayhem regardless if it was a mission or not. I hope they remake it or remaster the game so it looks nice but also so I can relive my childhood again. Jaws Unleashed is actually pretty darn solid and fun to play.

Dude said a movie tie in. Now I feel old Jaws came out in the '80s late '70s for the originals there was no PlayStation 2 for there to be a tie in

A shadow drop of a Remaster would be 🤌🏼

I think what makes people like Jaws more than Maneater is how much more grounded and realistic it felt. Maneater feels a lot more arcade. That and me personally I just think that Jaws was very detailed and it’s open world and what all you could do compared to Maneater. to me it always felt more like a PS3/360 game rather than a PS2 game

Even the first time i watched jaws when i was like 6 i only ever gave a fuck about jaws. He is adorable. Sharks in general simply are adorable, in fact, animals without exception are.
In regards to maneater vs jaws i think i have to agree that jaws feels a lot heavier and more powerful but i guess that's just kind of the problem with maneater being a more rpg style game rather than jaws' simulation esque gameplay. I'd say it's to portray you as a monster more effectively and i suppose that's true but it's sort of also true for maneater.

I loved this Game as a Kid!  I remember playing this game so much it crashed my Dad's computer Three times over the course of a year😂.

That said I love how the Graphics for the shark look so good and then the rest of the game looks like poop😂
