If you had a loving mother and father growing up nothing hurts more than when they pass on. You never get over the loss. You can still see the pain when Gene tells the story. I love you Mom and Dad.♥

I give gene Simmons so much credit for being honest and having empathy for his men mate

I talked with Gene outside the Galt House Hotel at an event and he was a really nice guy.  He was waiting for someone to come down and we just talked about Louisville and I told him how I had followed him since 1976.  I still get told I look like a younger version of him since I also wear a leather jacket, sunglasses and have long dark hair......

Ace Frehley was sober for nearly two decades. Gene left this out of his little scenario. Also EVERYONE who is a KISS fan knows about Ace's addiction issues, erratic behaviour and everything else that he's ever done. He just can't let it go!!

Eddie Trunk’s gonna shit when he hears this.

What a lot of fans don’t understand you guys are  family and  it’s not not about love and respect it’s the everyday shit you go through it’s so much more you just want the best for your family and friend  and sometimes it’s tough love

My girlfriend died from her addictions this Febuary . I tried to help sooo many times. So many fresh starts . The last day I saw her ,she had  a cigarette in one hand , beer in the other , i said " do you want to go to the hospital? " because she wasnt doing well..." no, ill talk to my doctor Monday " ...the next morning she was dead. 12  years of trying to help her battle this . I hate to say its impossible,  but i fear in most cases it is . Its completely sad , but there isn't much you can do. Ace seemed the same way - sober for a while, then slipped off. Even if he wouldn't admit it, we could tell by his performances.

Im becoming a believer in no free will. All the things that led up to people being addicts they had no choice over.

Compassion is the key . We may not be able to save them, but letting them know we understand that its hard to control,  might take the pressure off .

And taking away the drug of choice may not work, lets say there was no drugs , alcohol or cigarettes,  they might get addicted to unsafe sex, food , or dangerous illegal behavior....its just how they are wired .

But when you love them and are close to them - it sucks seeing them decline in health. Its terrible.

Ace was the sound, sure gene was the gimmick of the band. But Ace felt the band was not really his, He was just going for the rocket ride. God bless Ace for he is in a better place. But without Ace Kiss was never the same. That’s why the Beatles quit at the right time and Led Zeppelin couldn’t go on without Bonzo and Van Halen was never the same when they replaced Dave. In a foursome it’s like the Fantastic Four period.

Gene should save himself from his toxic, malignant ego. He is a miserable loser with no friends. And now, all he can do is trash a good man. Ace was awesome and will forever be awesome. Gene sucks and always has.

This makes me just SAD for Gene. Why he can't ever seem to see the GOOD that Ace did out of KISS. Ace put out 7 solo albums and 2 covers albums OUTSIDE of KISS. He never stopped touring and putting out music...not condoms and caskets...but MUSIC for the fans. He always feels the need to talk about ACE's mistakes from his past, when he MORE than made up for it. The FANS (us kids) don't like hearing Mommy talk crap about Daddy when we know the truth already...and have forgave him! It's "Mommys" way of healing her own hurt feelings by bad mouthing the other one.

NICE...cool hang out.!! much love.....and    also in MAC  class today    [[[ music appreciation class]]]

aaah  sooo cool..thanx  for making...you ALL  so rock...''Tee''   with   LIONS NAMED LEO.... AND
'''TRAXTER''' ...  [  the music  worldwide] and TLC  outreach  ]  we love you all...!!

Gene has plenty of thoughts on Ace's self-destructive behavior during their time in the band, and while I don't always see eye to eye with him, it's reasonable for him to describe Ace as out of control back then. However, it's completely unjust for Gene to label Ace as a drug addict and alcoholic in the last decade of his life. By all accounts, Ace had found sobriety, yet both Gene and Paul persisted in making those claims, even implying he was unemployable. The real reason Ace was left out of the final farewell tour seems to be Gene and Paul's belief that fans would accept Eric and Tommy, which allowed them to pay those musicians significantly less than what Ace would have commanded. All those justifications were merely excuses, and it's disheartening to witness their behavior.

"Who's the kid in Metallica" 😂

Heartbreaking to say the least.

The ones that don't understand haven't had a loved one with severe addiction issues.

Ive read Paul Gene hope was happy with his "choices"  Spending a great deal of your life numbing yourself the damage so extent a large part of his memories were forever lost. To this day Frehley's family have never released the toxicology report..Frehleys friends band mates ex girlfriends have all said he was less than honest about his sobriety including pill rx abuse binge drinking..One day Im sure all of this will surface  not unlike Petty Prince others...There's only one reason it hasnt been disclosed

Sometimes people don’t want to change and sadly no amount of coercion will make a difference🙂

Left out the fact Ace was sober the past 19 years. He turned it around. So for 2 decades they could have had a good relationship, but people are stubborn and stupid.

When you think about how huge KISS still was when Ace's proclivities became an issue, they could have built the same "safety net" that the Stones mgt. built around Keith. Show me any instance where Mick considered firing Keith. Meanwhile, Gene gets pissed when Ace gets any attention at all,  so the fact that Ace's solo album was the best and most successful of the four rubbed Gene the wrong way. What does he give us in response? Disco, followed by Vinnie Vincent as "Where the fuck is Ace?!"

Ace wasn't a screwup when Gene needed him to help him sell his vault, or when he needed him to save his career when KISS was playing to half empty arenas during the Revenge tour. What a self serving jackass
