What was your favourite tip and when will you use it next? Let me know below 👇 🎥👌

1. Celebrate your location: show and let others know where you are
2. Camera movement: move camera for static objects, track moving objects
3. Short clips: 5 - 10 seconds enough for video editing
4. Creative transitions: make scenes transition natural
5. People: including people in the frame makes video more lively

Very helpful 🎉

I’m a retired cameraman. What fun it would have been to have all these tools. I have a mirrorless camera but probably shoot most of my international/domestic travel videos on my iPhone. Steve, you do a bang up job in your presentations, very creative. It is like my golf game, I don’t play anymore but I enjoy watching well done, informative videos. 😅

There must be heaps of videos on YouTube about how to shoot travel videos, but this one is by far the best and easiest one to follow. Clearly described, thoughtfully explained, and keeping everything short and simple—perfect!

😂 I was in Leuven last week, trying to make a cool Instagram reel, but honestly, I just wasted my time. Guess it’s all about practice though, so I’m not giving up😢

The transition clips are such a cool trick. Just starting out and really appreciate that particular tip 😊

This is such a game-changer! 📱✨ Love how you showed that you don’t need expensive gear to create stunning cinematic shots. The tips on framing, movement, and lighting are pure gold—can’t wait to try them on my next trip! 🌍🎥

Absolutely amazing. A real masterclass! It just proves that everything you need to capture incredible travel memories is behind the camera — not in tons of expensive gear that’s a pain to set up. You showed perfectly that with good taste and a few simple techniques, you can make truly stunning videos. And the best part is, “simple” doesn’t mean “cheap” or “basic”, the magic is exactly in that simplicity and precision!
Also love that you do know how to use high-end gear and have great videos about gimbals and all that, but here you show that you can get awesome results with just a phone and some creative editing. Huge respect for your clear, straight-to-the-point teaching style and for being so open about stuff most people like to keep secret. One of the best travel filmmaking videos I’ve ever seen. Thanks a ton for sharing your work!

This was so informative. I know most of these tips, but to actually see how you put them together was eye opening. When I do my travel videos I feel like I need to show everything. As a former history teacher I also have a problem with talking too much.

I liked the 'fuzzy' effect (adding 6 frames of mess)
