A Twisted Metal retrospective featuring the man behind the burning clown himself? Sign me up!

Also, gaming industry? Do us a favor and bring back the car combat games, please!

i love the axel ending.
he doesn't wish to be let out of the device, that would be too easy and unfulfilling
he doesn't wish for his father to be put in the device, he wishes that on no one
he doesn't wish for his father to be killed, he isn't out for revenge
he wishes for the strength to face his father, and to do what needs to be done.
and calypso grants him that wish. no tricks, no wordplay, no gotcha.
he just grants his wish. even calypso can appreciate a pure wish like that.

That ending is fucking great. Would love to see Mel McMurrin come back if there is a new twisted metal in the future

Wow dude way to go and make a retrospective about another game series I really enjoy. Hitting homeruns on all these choices in my book. Keep up the good work, dude!

I want a new Twisted Metal so badly. 2012's entry was one of my personal favorites, and it sucks it never got the continuation it was seemingly meant to have.

Can't wait to see more of this series.

You actually got Mel McMurrin himself? That's fantastic.

Twisted Metal 2 was my childhood. I loved the music, and the comic style storytelling. That was a beautiful game.

SOME ONE FINALLY DID IT. THANK YOU.
But for real we need to bring this genre of games back.

I can't be the only one surprised they got the original voice actor of Calypso for a minute long sketch.

How awesome would it be to get a TWISTED METAL in 2019..

Why has no one mentioned how beautiful Grasshopper's ending is? It's so pure and wholesome. No screwing anyone around, no gotcha, no games. He just holds her and dies with her. He may be the villain...

But he is a good father. Can't deny that.

The TM2 Marcus Kane ending and "text ending" of TM1 Bruce (Thumper) will always be my favorite two conclusions to the story. Marcus may have his in animated form, but to imagine that 2005 Los Angeles becomes a place of peace because of one man's wish...that's pretty awesome, even if the "ANTI-CLIMACTIC" ending didn't make it to the game.

I love the way david talks. Hes informal, frank, earnest and REAL. Developers today are so damn fake and rigid, constantly worried about publisher overlords or stock values.

It really shows that as much as gaming has gained in some aspects, its also lost equally in others.
