Funny thing, I was playing Crossworlds and going into Holoska I was thinking "Oh yeah, Ajakes hasn't uploaded a video on Cool Edge. I wonder if he's gonna do that or Savannah Citadel next?" and then this video jumpscared me as I was grabbing lunch. LETS GOOOOO

34:16 "How does Cool Edge make you feel?"

Cold.

I'm pretty sure 99% of people here ain't gonna understand that reference in the intro, LOVE IT IMMEDIATELY!!

26:47 This is one of the most adorable things I've ever heard. And as an uncle that's a high bar. Worry not, he'll be waved at.

Can't see what's so untrustworthy about Johnson. Now, take The Cube. He will be your companion on this break.

Ajakes sees so many people die in cold blood

Ajakes: “Oh no… I must talk about Cool Edge to cope with this trauma”

One thing I love about Unleashed levels is the feeling of actually ending up in a different place than you started. Here you start on the ice fields and and there are some abandoned igloos, implying you're at least somewhat close to civilization, and you end up just in the middle of the ocean on a glacier. Now that being said most of the level is running around glaciers so it's not as distinct a journey as some other unleashed levels, but as you pointed out the goal is to make the area feel huge and to make us immersed in the world. So it definitely feels like it achieves that, perhaps backseats the distinct journey element a little bit, but still achieves that goal as well. Great level and great video!

You make my day whenever you upload!!! Dinner tastes 10x better with your video on to watch!

The last thing I expected was a The Thing parody in an Ajakes video.

That's pretty cool.

Gives the video an edge in my eyes.

Once again, love the video!

Fun Fact: There is no landmass beneath the ice of Earth's north pole. There is landmass beneath the south pole, which is the continent of Antarctica. Also, Antarctica used to be located in a warmer climate before being moved to Earth's south pole. Due to the tectonic plates that neighbor the Antarctic continental plate, Antarctica is now indefinitely stuck at Earth's south pole. Also, ironically, Antarctica is a prime area of study for volcanologists.

Ya know, I wasn't exactly expecting a reference to John Carpenter's The Thing, but I can't say I'm complaining

5:28 rush adventure music 🔥🔥🔥

28:04 YES! SONIC PANCAKE! HE’S HERE!!! 🤣😆😂

Ngl I think this is my favorite unleashed level, I know it's an unpopular opinion and I didn't expect myself to like it that much but here we are, that part where you ran over water gave me feelings I didn't get playing a game for a long time, like life is still worth living, that video games still have unmatched experiences, an amount of joy I haven't felt in a long time, I liked it so much that it gave me that feeling of wanting to rush home from school just to play it, song too is so good, that bassline is insane and the drum work is heavy, it's also just feels so cold yet so hopefully, I love cool edge man

Just watched all the way through until the end, and honestly one thing I love about Cool Edge is how it almost feels like Sonic is just wandering around trying to find Egg robots.
Think about it, Sonic is running along Holoska trying to find a Gaia Key to access the temple, and I'm not sure if any residents even know the temple requires a key in the first place. In my mind, Sonic is running all over Holoska just trying to find that key before Eggman's robots can first. Considering that the robots increase throughout the level, I'd like to think the more Eggman robots packed near one spot, the more likely it is they found the Gaia Key.

Also that ending really is respectable. I feel like none of us would be disappointed if you took a break because it just makes videos at better quality. I'm still waiting on a level analysis on Gigan Rocks/Device from Sonic Riders Zero Gravity to show up eventually, so whenever that day comes I'll be excited to know it had more time in the oven.

25:54 the drop on that path always throws me off, sometimes I try to avoid that part, and it always ends up with me actually falling off ...LOL

So embarrassing but I had the biggest smile on my face when I saw you had a new video up, on the Edge of my seat for this one

Gosh i love this stage so much. From the music, to the GORGEOUS look of the level and its wide open spaces, and its focus on the nature of the arctic. Also the whale is my favorite part ❤.

38:00 Holy shit, that's me! This level is such a vibe. Ice and snow are always beautiful and this has the added benefit of being in Sonic Unleashed. And the music is among the best in the series, this whole zone is such a vibe. I don't like the darker areas because they honestly look dirty, but when it's just the sea, the sun, and the snow, it's stunning. This ends up being one of my favourite stages in the series, despite being from a game I've never played, on visuals and music alone. Easily my favorite Unleashed stage, and I'm so glad you finally covered it, Adam.
Enjoy your break, and take as long as you need. A delayed analysis will eventually be good, but a rushed analysis will forever be bad, and all that. I look forward to seeing what you come back with.

I have been summoned to this analysis, I’m now happy
