Thanks for sharing that, I have a feeling I'm going to have to do that shortly. That's exactly what I need.

All the CA glues I’ve seen are warned to not breath the fumes. A respirator would be the best, but a fan in the distance blowing across the work area should help. Any kind of lung issue is something you never want to deal with! (Been there - oxygen is really important!)

That paint work is really killer for a roadworn Harmony. Glad it’s finally going to live it’s best life.

Thanks for this video. I think I’ll give this a try on my ‘63 Guild D-40. I don’t need to remove the bridge but the process should be the same.

This is an excellent video and well explained to do this repair. I have a question please if I may.
Is there a way to make the ball end of the strings sit deeper into the acoustic guitar bridge?
*
Since slotting the bridge (to gain a better break angle on a shallow saddle) some of the string end windings are now in contact with the saddle slots (because of the shorter distant with the slots/ramps). The windings are not going over the saddle, but they're actually touching the saddle on some strings and very close to going over.
If I can get the string ball ends to sit deeper into the guitar body (say 1/8" or more) that would be very helpful to eliminate this happening. Two strings (the high E and B strings) are affected by this causing some noticeable buzz when played at times.

Thanks in advance and your well made videos are an excellent resource. Subscribed.

Why not spruce fibers?

Nice job, thanks for sharing! Could I ask you for advice regarding my 1st attempt on fixing the "fixed" guitar with a twist? It just so happened that I made one big mistake while doing a bridge reglue, which otherwise turned out excellent ... if only the other thing would not have happened ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rOOFRpk86ts ... and comments on how to best go about it would be much appreciated. Cheers!
