In May 2026, my husband Matthieu and I visited Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, a village in the south of France.

I’ve already posted lots of videos on YouTube about other towns and villages in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department, where this village is located; do have a look at them.

Moustiers-Sainte-Marie is a village with a population of around 680, situated in France, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d’Azur region, within the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department. It has been listed as one of the most beautiful villages in France.

This time, we arrived in Moustiers-Sainte-Marie in the morning and headed straight for the chapel situated at the highest point of the village, climbing the stone steps whilst taking care not to slip.

After visiting the chapel, we enjoyed a delicious lunch at a restaurant, then went for a stroll through the village.

The quiet, beautiful streets – which you hardly ever see in tourist guidebooks or on social media – were truly charming, and we even came across some adorable cats and gorgeous flowers.

We then did a bit of shopping, visited the village centre and stopped for an ice cream. Even though our visit only lasted about five hours, we made the most of it!
