Subbed for how you show the speaker's stream rather than leaving it only one the primary. I like that, I wish more people did that, it's a good idea!

When you switch how you speak depending on the social setting it's called code-switching! Here's a proper definition "code-switching, process of shifting from one linguistic code (a language or dialect) to another, depending on the social context or conversational setting." -Britannica. Everyone does this whether they think they do or not and I think that's pretty neat!

This is all called code-switching. It also calls back to Ellie's discussions of autistic masking

I'd imagine another part of it is also because they're talking into mics when streaming so they adapted the way they talk so what they say is more clear when broadcasted as opposed to being clear to in person communication.

BGM had my brain ready to learn obscure elden ring lore

Makes sense and I guess what Shoo said explain why there are that many vtubers that do the baby voice, because it was originally a japanese thing and the rest of the world adapted to it. First vtubers were mostly extremely into japanese culture.

This is 100% true. I definitely have a customer service voice, voicemail voice, and then me when talking to my dad or my close friends. Ellie has a wonderful voice though. She's an absolutely lovely nerd and a true treasure.

Production is going up I see, that animation with Bo was great, reminded me of Kraul's

It’s like how I have different profiles for different friend groups! when they’re all in the same room, my brain crashes. I can feel it overheating from trying to keep up.

I can only speak for myself, but I find that when I stream I mellow out SIGNIFICANTLY. IRL people would describe me as boisterou, hammy, kinda fat, loud, a bit much, but on stream for the most part I'm just "hey how's it goin'?" and it's so bizarre. I've tried to be more of my honest self (since that's what I think is more entertaining) but no matter what I try I always seem to fail 😂

I do have to say that my available energy drops DRASTICALLY while streaming. One time I don't even remember what I wanted to say but what came out was something like "My friendships are like my nuggets".

I can see Ellie walking into work wearing 15 ties trying to look "super professional"

5:52 so cute

such interesting insight from shoomimi! love her design but ive never seen her clips before, shes so well spoken. good trio good clip ty big codebug :)

I've been getting so many of your clips recently and Ellie seems so interesting. I will check out a stream when I can!

It's different even between stream vs discord. I noticed this when Ellie was building the dog in a voice channel.

i think its a trait of being on the spectrum you try n adapt to the environment. its like very easy to go into the flow of things.

It's so cool how you switch between streams based on who's talking!

"Low and slow, and a little New York" is so funny to me and I don't know why

literally every way to be feels like a mask I feel

Wow  you put a lot of work into editing to the steam of the one who is speaking!
