Outlast Trials is true horror. Red Barrels made that game from a very dark place. DBD feels like Fortnite next to it.

Let's not forget Outlast Trials has maps that feel like actual maps

Outlast Trials, on a technical level, is far superior. Even when Red Barrels is only around 40 people. (Behaviour is around 400)

Attention: This video is extremely outdated.
Ever since this video, Outlast Trials  went through several updates including a pvp update, which is arguably better than dbd. There needs to be an updated video on this.

I can play outlast trials and complete the trial and see that i spent 78 minutes on a trial. I was having a blast, it didnt even feel that long!

Outlast trials is a horror game with coop.
Dbd is a partygame with toxic Community and horror theme

You should make a updated video on this now that trials has pvp

Im always so surprised outlast isn't way more popular. I find dbd so incredibly boring that I stopped playing years ago

All you do in dbd is turn on some generators and hope for the best😂

The main difference for me between the 2 is how hooked the game gets me. Im still consistently playing outlast trials since its launch due to the variety of each trial due to the variators you can put on each trial. But with dbd, I'll play 3 matches at most and then drop the game immediately.  With outlast trials, you get a different experience each time you play a trial, while dbd has the same experience every single match.

Guess you gotta update the video now in 2026 lmao.
Since Outlast Trials has now:

>A PvPvE more where players can play as Imposters but still get killer by AI.
>More modifiers have been added as well as maps, objectives and more sensitive AI behaviour.
>An ingame shop where you can buy currency to buy cosmetics
>Update Prime Assets who all have their own unique abilities

Honestly, one of the reasons I've taken up DBD is because of now not-scary it is. Makes it a lot more accessible for me personally.

I think dbd could benefit from different gamemodes/win conditions like project playtime and a payload like kill the snitch from outlast trials

Also crazy how we never even needed Outlast Trials to come out in the first place

DBD would've eaten itself. It is genuinely that boring

I couldn't agree more, while I am really bad at the outlast trails given I'm still new to it but I've met so many nice folks willing to lend a hand whenever I die repeatedly. The voice chat is very helpful for communicating as well.
As fun as dbd is with friends, it just never gave me the thrill that I'd been hoping for in it.

Dbd just isn’t that fun if your not playing the killer. The amount of time it takes for you to do just about anything is wayyy too long

As someone has said before, Outlast Trials is a horror game game first, and a coop game second, it’s why you don’t lose any of the experience by playing solo

DBD is a badly designed party game where only one side gets to have fun

I was a huge fan of DBD but it got super repetitive and even tho the killers are cool, they’re not as cool as the Outlast ones. Not to mention in the Trials has way more objectives, game modes, and better cosmetics to unlock. Maybe that’s just me but I kind of stopped playing DBD because Outlast is really all I want in a horror game.

Honestly, I can't stand dbd since the day I started Outlast trials. It's the same thing over and over and the community is seriously toxic. The game has turned into competition rather than fun.

Outlast trials destroy this. Different modes, co-op and seriously challenging modes make the game fun.

From what I've heard, Animal Crossing does Dead by Daylight better
