Maybe you’ve already done this but I’d love a video on games for people who are kinda new to the hobby but ready to try harder games, without jumping to the hardest games out there. So maybe medium weight games rec? Thank you

I am shocked Deep Regrets was not nominated for artwork… Its amazing from the box inside and out, to cards, boards

Excellent video, thank you boys. It reminds me of years ago when you did your audio only podcasts.

I was literally just about to comment about Purple Haze asking what were your thoughts on it. Pretty cool to see it get mentioned here.

Renaming soon to Collector's hangover? :D

Guys, topic suggestion: since you both enjoy social deduction games, how comes there are only a few detective games with role play on the channel? Is it because of high player count (usually 6-7) to enjoy them to full potential? Or is it missing localisation? E.g. My murder mystery series.

Very entertaining, I've only watched two things this month that lasted over an hour, Project Hail Mary (amazing) and now this vid! Always great 😃

Unconscious Mind is one of my top 5 games. It's definitely worth getting if you like the theme 😁

Regarding social games, it depends on the situation. Sometimes they work well, and I could say that I like them, but sometimes it is boring. For example, I bought Feed the Kraken and tried to play twice with the same company. It was very boring. It was mostly mechanical - ok, new round, who's going to be a captain and navigator, let's vote, move, new round. At the same time, with the same company, at a garden party, we played Mafia - it was the best experience of a social game I had.

Power grid rocks! Every game has been super tight and someone always is one coin short! 😅

This might not be the best option for everyone, but I got in to building custom foamcore inserts for my games so I could store them all vertically (I find it more visually appealing that way) without all of the pieces moving around. This also helps for combining expansions in to the core box to save on shelf space.

As far as topics I would love for you guys to discuss, here is my question: How do you make space in your shelf and in your brain (rulesets) for games that fill similar mechanical/thematic space. Even if you really enjoy multiple similar games, I make it hard to justify owning games that compete for the same space.

Agree wholeheartedly that Nemesis is tops, but so glad you mentioned The Thing. Hoping the upcoming Gamefound reprint fixes the rulebook issues, because it’s a wonderfully thematic and good hidden traitor game…maybe the best one I’ve played at lower (4) player counts vs most that need more.
