My mom loved this movie. She insisted I watch it when I was a kid. She also loved The Rose. She said several times that she wanted The Rose played at her funeral. I never saw the Rose (one day I will) but I kept my promise and made sure the rose was played at her funeral. I can't think of this movie and not think of her.

My best friend and I went to see Beaches when it came out. We were still in high school, and left the theater sobbing, claiming we will always be best friends forever. There was a photo booth right outside the mall’s cinema, so of course we took pictures, which we still have. We now live in different states, but when we do talk we jump right back into that friendship. We are part of a friend group that started when some of us were in 6th grade, with all of us going to the same middle and high schools together. Even now, we try to get together for dinner at least once a year.

My oldest friend and I, who I met in 3rd grade, still text/call whenever this movie or The song is on TV/Playlist. We are each other's duo. 💙 Love you, Ang! (We're 51/50 FYI)

We played Bette's version, at my mom's funeral. It will always make me cry.

Beaches was my favorite movie as a kid. I still cry every time I hear that song. I haven’t watched Beaches in years, I need to go back and watch it again!

This movie hit me hard at 6 years old. I had recently found out I was adopted and was mourning my birth mother.

My mom sat and had me watch this with her right before she passed of cancer when I was 15, and I will never forget seeing it for the first time. She was trying to prepare me for what I didn't know was so soon coming. To this day it remains one of my all time favorites, and now my best friend and I of 25 years watch it together all the time and have created the same bond between CC and Hillary.

I saw Beaches when it first came out, not having heard much about the story. I went with a new friend I had recently met at university and we were both sobbing by the end of the film. When we left the theatre, my new friend told me that her best friend had recently passed away. I shared that I had lost my mother when I was a child. To say that the movie had affected us deeply is an understatement.

It was a bit more special to me, as a child, as my dad died of cardiomyopathy.

OMG. I don't think I've watched this since I first saw it. That's how WRECKED I was from it. I did have Wind Beneath My Wings as one of my wedding songs. But alas, I got divorced 5 years later and my ex-husband died 5 years ago. Yikes.

Still one of my all-time favourite films 🩷 I sang Bette's version of 'Baby Mine' to my boys when they were babies, and now sing it to my granddaughters. I'll introduce them to 'Beaches' when they're older 🩷

Yours is the only channel I willingly watch multiple times. Usually if I realize I've seen a video before, I clock off it right away. But I enjoy watching your content.I've seldom been surprised, but I like watching your videos anyway.
