One of the meany reasons I watch Doz’s Television Workshop is it takes me back. This Rotel was my cousins favourite piece of equipment. great video

Superb 👌🏻 😎

Enjoyable video, as always. You definitely got a good deal on the receiver.

Lovely to have a Doz video to watch with my lunch ☺️

I really enjoyed the video Doz!  Looking forward to seeing your next video! Thanks!👍

I purchased similar some months ago, I was surprised how the bridge rectifier was near  its limit and was getting quite hot, I swapped it for a higher spec one - same lead footprint, and its been fine since. I love the Rotel layout, very easy to follow, and the available schematics is a bonus.

exciting episode again thanks doz I've ordered a little CRT flat screen monitor from Ali Express a couple days ago £9:50 + £11 p&p now😮 I'm a CRT fan can't help it😊

A brilliant eight quids worth !

I seem to be a magnet for Rotel gear. I've amassed quite a collection over thirty years and they all come up really well. I really think they find me rather than me find them,
although the latest one I spotted sitting on top of someones garbage bin. It was similar to this model, only silver and an RX-202. It was only missing it's volume knob.. lol.
I just can't leave them to a potential demise, they are like orphans to me.

Very serviceable and stylish too, luffley 😊

Talking of super cheap bargains, you advised me ages ago to find a cheap 80's, 90's crt tv to learn television repairs with. I was given a Toshiba Model 140E4B which had been stored in a slightly damp cellar and was covered in dust. I thought 'Great, this will be a proper learning experience and there's no chance it'll work.' Well, blow me! Plugged the thing in and ran it up on the variac and the flamin' thing works as well as the day it was made 🤣🤣🤣 Toshiba reliability I guess. I wish everything was as reliable nowerdays.

Boy the Rotel I bought was built much different. Nice equipment my brother is still using it. Great video!

I am looking forward to seeing the Leak 2000 receiver on the workbench.

Brilliant. Have you seen the price of those on FleaBay.

Great video, I do a lot of Bluetooth mods, not had the noise problem either, as you say, connecting the earth can result in issues. I have several items all with the same BT module, therefore the same name. Do you know of a way to change the name of a BT module?

This is at least the second video I've seen where you've said that a mains plug is non-compliant. Here in Australia we rarely see UK mains plugs, so I'm interested to know what the difference is between older non-compliant plugs and what is used now.

I have a few of those in the garage, i think there was a 200A in the range  i may have some of those as well they used to be very cheap because they were made in Korea rather than Japan.  And i like 5 pin din and 2 pin din! Anyhow 2 questions you went down the linear road  with your voltage regulation?  If you happen to have some waste "buck" converters could use use those? I have a "supply" of them that are out of those cigarette 12V to 5V usb devices and i'm wondering if bluetooth adapters may be a use.  I dont have a supply of heat-sinks..... 2nd question i like you wear glasses because my arms are not long enough. In the video you used secondary eye amplifiers  ( not sure what the correct term is )  where do you get them from? I use a magnify lens but it doesn work that well

On transistor gear it works fine, but on tube radios it can work but it lacks gain i.e. the impedances are such a missmatch. Tube phono is 10M. Also a tiny secret. Get yourself a sheet metal cutters to cut the perf board. You'll thank me later.

Cool vlog ,but the worst thing /crime ,is adding this to any vintage audio equipment .Leave it to function as was intended  13:00
