How to travel to Mooloolaba and the Sunshine Coast from Brisbane for 50 cents

In this video, I’m traveling from Brisbane’s Roma Street Station all the way to the Sunshine Coast and back—for just one dollar return. First, I take the train up to Nambour. From there, I catch a Translink bus to Maroochydore. After switching buses in Maroochydore, I continue down to Mooloolaba. Finally, I take a bus from Mooloolaba to Landsborough, where I hop on the train back to Brisbane.

The best way is to catch the train from Brisbane to Lansbrough. Then the bus to Maroochydore, which passes through Mooloolaba. Much quicker than travelling to Nambour

I spent a lot of time in the late 80s, early to mid 90s..
Up from the northern suburbs of Brisbane.
And yes, so much has changed.. apart from the beauty...

So good that fares are just 50c a trip and when I visited Brisbane and Sunshine Coast myself I used my contactless payment was so convenient

I visited Maroochydore Plaza and I must say it’s huge and what’s unique is there is a High Ropes Adventure Park if shopping isn’t ones cup of tea and just wants to experience climbing ropes and overcoming obstacles and gets a nice view of the city ❤

Thank you for the trip. I enjoyed seeing the many placed I once haunted. Getting old and don't venture out like once. As an R.N. I nursed at RBH, Redcliffe, Nambour and Caloundra Emergency.

Roma Street is equivalent of New York City's Penn Station.

The frequent passing through of electromotive diesel locomotives is music to my ears. Especially the night departures at Yeerongpilly station.

I should have watched this one before the XPT ride home but welcome to my home town, Well not quite. I live just a bit south of Mooloolaba but you really need a lot more than a few hours to really enjoy the area. I used to love hanging out at the wharf where I could relax after a bad week of work but unfortunately the Wharf has been taken over by eateries and restaurants. All the novelty shops are gone now. But I will admit it's one place I stay well clear of during Christmas and public holidays as it just get far too crowded.
