Illinois defeats LSU in Baton Rouge 127-100. Source is VHS tape so the quality is not very good.

This Illinois team was one of the most athletic teams in the history of the NCAA

I remember the night this game was played. I was watching Pitt-Florida on USA Network and the final score from this game popped up and my jaw dropped seeing 127-100. Too bad Stanley Roberts wasn’t playing in this one. Stupid Prop 48 rule.

What a team. As fun as it is to look back i think the pain of this team not winning a national championship when they were clearly the best team in the country is still a raw nerve and 2005 just gave me another! My favorite player? #13

Marcus Liberty and Lowell Hamilton were underrated! This team were 9 - 10 deep with legitimate Div 1 starters!! Unbelievable talent!!

How in the hell did Dale Brown not even make the final four with a team that had Shaq, Stanley Roberts, and Chris Brown!
