I have now consumed every Alex Honnald video on YouTube. I’m not a climber, but I find him to be one of the most inspirational people alive.

He is pretty good at picking out clothes, he's able to hide one of the biggest sets of balls in the world. All jokes aside, we need more people like him.

I could listen to him talk about climbing all day. He’s so humble and direct, very rarely do you come across a person with such a genuine passion for what they do and no need to explain to others why they love it.

I like the image of someone just hanging out at the top of the mountain 2000ft above the ground and Alex fucking Hannold just climbs up over the edge with no fucking harness or rope. Absolutely insane

His way of conveying his message is incredible, his word selection, his off beat style , a fascinating life philosophy

I'm convinced he can actually fly and he's just fucking with EVERYONE!

this is the guy who knows how to conquer fear....

Few speakers are as fluent as Alex has become. No script, no notes, no teleprompter, no hesitation, just good preparation, that is to say, several years struggling with the challenges until the fears dissolve. A bit like El Capitan, in other words. El Capitan was awe-inspiring, but so is Alex's development as a public speaker . . .

Showing the actual slides isn´t the worst idea when it comes to recording talks

I love listening to Alex talk about climbing; he has a big smile and his eyes sparkle.

It would've been more realistic if someone had come out of that tent midway through and yelled, "Shut up man, I'm tryin' to sleep!"

I can listen to Alex ramble for days and it never gets old. He's funny. He acts like just hanging off the edge was not ideal instead of the truth which is absolute terror for most of us.

I don't think Alex would approve of that fake flame

I saw his TED talk which seemed more rehearsed and uncomfortable for Alex. In this, Alex is totally at ease and relaxed and probably could go on for hours more. Great talk.

Does anyone realize how small we are in the world that this guy is a very famous man and I've seen at least 5 people recently who were as famous but I've never heard of him or any of them?  We're so small in this world

What a stellar human. He is amazing.

The guy certainly turned his passion
into a lucrative career.
He's one of those rare millionaires
who wouldn't really be devastated if
for some reason he lost all his money tomorrow.
He was clearly content living in his Van,
eating Veg. and dedicating his time to his passions.
In my opinion, he has earned and totally deserves every penny he now has.
He's a little spacey and granola,
but he's a total Legend, and you
can tell, a good person inside who
obviously cares deeply about the environment.

This guy looks like he is good at climbing, he should make a career out of it.

"I feel so big when I climb this huge walls but at the same time I feel insignificant because some of these walls are so big and you're such a tiny little speck ...and if I fall off the mountain will not care. The smallness of it, remembering your place in nature, remembering that I'm a an insignificant speck in the cosmos but at the same time that I am living my best life. This is what I love of free soloing"  THIS THOUGHT FRM ALEX SHOULD HAVE BEEN  INCLUDED IN THE MOVIE

He's a bad mfer, it's amazing how humble he is. I don't know how he does it, I'm looking forward to his next climb... on video at least I'm sure he's climbing right now.
