These are the golden age of the NBA

The 80s and 90s NBA was awesome. So many good to great teams.

Best NBA team. Ever.

16:48 LA's 1st qtr defense against the kings pre-asg was deadly

Celtics and Lakers were the two greatest dynasties of the 1980s. Five for the Lakers and three for the Celtics.

Born in LA in 1965, I was 7 when they won their first chip in LA. I have fuzzy memories of that team with Wilt and West. They have won 11 more in my lifetime. A total of 12.  I want them to win it every year but I'm happy to have seen them win so much during my life- I'll die a happy Lakers fan... but I'd sure like to see them ahead of the Celtics in the all time count. As I write this, the Lakers and Celtics franchises are tied with a total of 17 crowns each. My last wish is for the Lakers to be ahead of the Celtics before I pass...

Lakers back then is best team growing up as a kid 🎉

The 1987 Lakers team is , without any doubt , the best basketball team of all time ; Look at how they demolished a sensational Boston team !

I have these still somewhere on VHS in a box collecting dust somewhere… Great to see these on YouTube, but really does suck that they had to remove most of the original music… Not just for the music itself, but the flow of the video is lacking without it unfortunately

One thing to add to this great Laker team. Magic, Byron, Cap, Kurt, Cooper all became coaches or assistant coaches.  How smart is this team to go with all this talent.

They showed the highlights of this series here in the uk .It was like watching  sport from another galaxy. ..brilliant!

Magic Johnson is the Best PG of all time & I love the showtime lakers!

1987 NBA WORLD CHAMPIONS LOS ANGELES LAKERS: MAGIC JOHNSON, JUMP SHOT BYRON SCOTT, THE IRON MAN AC GREEN, BIG GAME JAMES WORTHY, THE CAPTAIN KAREEM ABDUL JABBAR, WES MATHEWS, MICHAEL COOPER, KURT RAMBIS, BILLY THOMPSON, MYCHAEL THOMPSON, MIKE SMREK, STEVE BUCKNALL, &, MORE!!!

The NBA was trying to get the NFL films vibe with these documentaries 😉

I bought this VHS tape in the eighty’s. Great team!

Love it Love it LOVE IT. Watched this video many times. Many times but it still gets me pumped. You remember just how GREAT the NBA was in the 80’s and 90’s. A golden age that will never come again.

First sign of not having Len Bias destroying the Celtics reign in this year's finals.
