Of topic.
I like that Capcom chose to get rid of character vouchers.
Best decision!

This might actually be the first Monster Hunter where I am simply overwhelmed with the amount of possible combos, ngl. Gunlance in particular seems very loaded.

still holding onto the dream of boosted wyvern’s fire 🙏

Maybe we'll be able to swab boost bracer for different skills similar to switch skills and thats how we may do element shelling??? The director saying more moves are coming kinda makes this likely but we'll see

I guess my gunlance will be the drill that pierces the heavens. :face-blue-smiling:

You know what would have been insane? A boosted Wyvern Fire, that unloads both of your Wyvern Fire charges at once. Holy hell that would be so awesome

Just what I needed mister Rurikhan. This will fuel my Gunlance addiction on top of all the other weapons kekeke 😝

Gunlance was my first main weapon. Even after i fell in love with Insect Glaive and made that my main weapon instead, Gunlance has still always remained by secondary safety weapon. I'm excited for the new Gunlance stuff coming up!

Boost Mode does enhance blocking, idk if gives you guard up but it nullifies the recoil,  we can watch that in the Gunlance Showcase when they compare side by side the regular wyrmstake full burst combo with Boost mode off and on, they both did a perfect block, but the recoil was bigger without Boost.

Dude.. that uppercut with the reload slash! Nice!!!

I think Elemental Shelling will promote Long Shelling. As an example, look at the following damage multiplier for Elemental Shelling:

Normal x1.0
Wide .75
Long 1.25

They have to do something to incentivize playing Long Shelling as opposed to just playing Wide Shelling. Let me know if you agree or disagree.

I’m ok about boosted blocks being perfect blocks only if they burn more of your boost gauge, but if you time the block correctly you would not use any additional gauge (aka you regular perfect block) and if you do reg per block you should get a level or 2 of guard applied (not guard up)

My guess on elemental shelling :
- Works kinda like the free element skill from world maybe you get it from an armor bonus set or something
- Special shell loading, maybe you can choose certain moves & you can get elemental reload instead of wyrmstake quick reload (kinda how you can switch moves in rise)
- Straight up a new shelling type for high element gunlance, that way they can keep it for future games

I feel like elementals shells are going to be strictly for charge shells move on elemental GL. I hope they expand on it during TUs, maybe bringing a skill that change every shells into elemental if the GL is elemental instead of just charge shells

This is only my 2nd game using GL, but since World I've always thought they could implement more combos and paths into the moveset given all of it's different elements. So this looks great.

dude for lance and gunlance I just love block/point/shoot that all you honestly got know, and boom you are well prepared for almost any monster with guard and guard up maxed out.

🤔 looking good and drill for days 😅
thank you for info and have good days 🍻

I saw in some footage the boost bracer appears in the equipment screen as if you could equip different ones. Maybe the new moves they talk about in future updates is new styles of bracers you can equip that have different driver attacks and modify different moves.

Getting new moves with each update is so exciting. Also It kinda confirma that we are getting customizable move sets like in risebreak.

Alright Rui, you’ve convinced me to come back to the game.
