Separate leaderbiards, done.

I love the idea of individual Solo, Duo and Trio leaderboards for Trials.
With regards to map conditions for trials one is resolvable by hopping servers with the amound they put them in now.
As for the dying in raid through greed or lack of inability to time manage, that shouldnt be changed. - That is 100% the individual players choice to do this.

I managed to get Solo Cantina last season, there was a few of us that got it. Im more than hapopy with the trials, and I actually like the annoying ones, it's something diferent that makes is think of new tactics.

@Rouge:
Triple Hyped your video🎉
Just so well thought out my friend 👌
Sent a link to Embark, some how they are going to know about your video 👍

Embark should be paying consultancy fees for this! ... Let's hope they put some good dev time in to fixing this.

So ready for the update, likin' the vid to help the alg, know you have your heart in the right place.

7:20 what's worse is I was looting around and watched a guy do the leaper trial, it got to the last 2mins and a fresh leaper spawned in so I said I'd press the button so he could kill it, I missed it by a couple of feet, I felt so bad, that guy would have had a massive score

Just create a trials shop. You acquire points by playing the trial challenges that you can spend on the trials shop. Stop locking good skin variations behind ranks. Just make a leaderboard for cantinas to show off their epeen to the community for that season and be done with it.

Embark will maybe fix ALL the problems by bringing out two more colors for your least favorite skin you don't own!
They listen!

You know its bad if even valliate barely touches cantina at the end of the season

Use the stars. Rookie through Tryhard to get 3-stars you need 3,000 points, 10/15 stars 1 rank up, 12/15 2x rank, & 15/15 stars 3x rank. Wildcard through Daredevil to get 3-stars you need 5,000 points, 10/15 stay the same rank, 12/15 1x rank, 15/15 2x rank. Hotshot to get 3-stars you need 7,500, 12/15 stay the same rank. Cantina Legend top points.

Events should rotate in more often, all of the maps should have an event running at all times

All scores are SOLO only. That's the first thing that needs to be done.

Separate the leaderboards and done. I would not change anything else.

I think there is no realistic way to balance trials for solos, duos and trios.
Having separate leaderboards is a dumb idea imo so I would just say f the squads and make it so that you only ever get your own trial points, i.e. if you are in a trio and you kill a bastion you get the points, if your teammate kills it you get 0 points. I say that as someone that has been cantina with a trio the last 2 seasons.

The idea of giving points when someone doesn't extract I really don't like and I actually don't think it changes that much.
Top level players it will make no difference as a 20% reduction in points means the run is over, and a casual player would not be pushing that hard so that missing the extract by a few seconds is a factor, it would just remove the whole point of a game like this where nothing you do matters if you can't get out and bank your loot/points etc.

Events I would fix in an easy manner by simply saying trials only count on day raids so you always have a chance to go for a run and this would also reduce the likelihood of someone else tryharding in your run and taking away your points.

Even with these changes I think this would still leave trials in a state that I wouldn't love, but this is more realistic to expect than what I would really want.

What I really want is to see trials become it's own gamemode where everyone gets a set seed, single player and then we have specific high skill ceiling mechanical challenges which do not rely on enemies respawning or any other tedious nonsense.

For me, Trials became less attractive when you were required to do whacky stuff - like knock off a piece of the Queens armour to gain access to an unintended space to melee hit the core 1000 times to get melee damage. I find that sort of shit extremely boring and obnoxious.

first?

I just hated map dependent trials. And you HAD to play on that map/event or get a shitty score. Also the cheese matriarch core strat needs to go

these dumb embarks need to separate leaderboards. they just cut endgame for all solo players when most of the people play solo. Why is this obvious fact so hard to understand for devs? Impossible to compete solo with squads, multisquads and their vagons (yes, vagons "just bring full inv of scanners" if you multisquad's friend or "pay us money and we will boost you to legend" if not). There is really nothing to do in the game after 2 weeks from season start only trials, but there is no reason to do trials solo for high scores only for 3 stars. why people leaving the game? lack of content? there is nothing to do solo on existing content! new map will be on metaforge in a week and again nothing to do! let solo players fairly compete with each other not with damn multisquads!

Its a third more time not a quarter   compsred to regular game.

Schedule is awful sometimes.
