In this documentary from the World Heritage series, we walk through the streets of Úbeda and Baeza, exploring their history and heritage, and we visit gems such as the Jabalquinto Palace and the Baeza Cathedral. Both cities have enriched their architecture throughout ancient and medieval history, and the culture influenced by Castilian and Andalusian culture can even be seen in the way of life of their people. Of particular note is the Water Synagogue, which disappeared but has since been restored. At the bottom of the stairs, the bath used for purification appears, and on the summer solstice, an unusual and spectacular moment occurs when the sun shines directly into the place where the Jewish ritual is performed.
