This flea market takes place once a year in the Vieille Ville (old city) in Le Landeron, near the south west end of Bielersee (lake Biel), on the opposite end of the lake from Biel / Bienne, in the canton of Neuchâtel.

Love the Mikrolisk tip for decoding strap and case logos, saving that one. On the "shock resist" piece: Incabloc goes back to 1933 in La Chaux-de-Fonds, and that little lyre-shaped spring over the balance jewel is the quickest way to spot it when you open one up 🙂

the young watchmaker had a very odd way of shaking hands. Never extended his hand out. On both instances you had to reach for his. What was that about? 🙂Great maket for scoring watches!

Olivier Comte! I remember visiting a musuem in 1984 in Geneva and can no longer find it on a map. I suspect it is the one that was closed in the 2000s. Is it true that the collection has moved to a new location?
I'm coming there at the end of this month for the watchmakers fair on November 1.

"Acidentally bought...." I've been married for 28 years and it just occurred to me that I haven't used that one yet. The machines! From the short glimpse of the brass one it looked like a staking base with a dividing plate used for locating hole patterns on a circle? Don't speak french so its a mystery but interesting! Those 8 pocketwatches tho... that repeater! yep it's official: she would let me go but only with enough cash for food only. 😅
I've been on the hunt for a Seitz uprighting pump pusher forever. Bet I could find one there!
