The problem is a croissant would never survive a drawing session with me. I would eat it so quickly 😂 Even with a backup croissant

Didn't watch the video but the thumbnail alone is the best and the most informative thing I've ever seen. It made me understand EVERYTHING.

Crazy how I was thinking about ways to draw different objects accurately, and then this shows up 🔥🔥

i was gonna say, nope, id eat it before i begin drawing haha, but you solved that problem before i even typed it, which got me laughing, while browsing greggs . . . .

It became way easier for me when I realized a croissant is just a rolled up triangle.

Your videos are literally the best thing ever for learning art fundamentals, you make them so simple and easy to understand

during my first semester as an undergrad I took a drawing course because at the time I wanted to minor as a graphic designer, but quickly realized drawing should 100% stay as a hobby for my sanity. it was there that I learned what gesture drawing was, and it was also there that I learned how absolutely frustrating it was. no matter how much I tried to "feel" where the lines or weight would be going I just... couldn't, or at least I couldn't to the satisfaction of the professor no matter how hard I focused. to this day I still don't think I Get It sadly, but ironically the gesture drawing of the croissant was probably my favorite one out of the bunch

I need an example on how to shade a croissant with bites marks pls

Great video! I liked how you broke it down into 4 simple parts, but also showed how you can use those steps mixed in with others.

Instructions unclear: ate two croissants. Thanks for another grand video.

Excellent breakdown on the different approaches  to drawing. Thank you

So helpful! I’m an analytical thinker who has struggled with bringing life and energy into my drawings. Your thoughtful approach helps me see that I’m not using all the tools available to create art. I’m excited to bring this new, more wholistic perspective to my art. Thank you!

I used to not care for observation part of jesture drawings and then wondered why the hands changed place or why the head and hips were off. The fundamentals should really work together even when something is emphasised more

Amazing video ❤!
The voice, the pace...everything!
Can't qait to see more of your videos

I will finish the croissant before i finish my drawing

Best video. I drew along and it helped me understand

Brilliant demo, many thanks . Love the carpenter analogy.....which 'tool' to use first, basic shape, gesture, observation, value, I  can remember this!

such lovely notes! thanks for sharing with the internet, it reached brazil :D

Awesome tutorial! 10 croissants/10

A great look at different ways to approach a drawing.  One of the best books (for me anyway) for form drawing was How to Draw Comics the Marvel Way.  Yes, it was laser focues on superheroes, but there was a lot of other great information in there from John Buscema.
