no wonder some japanese people actually live in these places. i believe some cafes even have showers available.

I am Japanese and used to use it when I moved to Tokyo and was looking for an apartment.
It is too hot in the middle of summer in Tokyo. The air conditioner is working and you can drink as much as you want.
The night package is even cheaper, so I would order a beer and sleep until morning.

I also often use it when I miss the last train after a night of drinking.
The first train in Ikebukuro leaves at 5:00 a.m., so a manga café is the perfect place to get some sleep.

Free drinks is crazy. So, much variety too

That last ice cream looked incredible... for introverts, this place would be a paradise!

The fact that some homeless Japanese people can essentially live in these type of internet cafes (While they look for accommodation) always felt weird to me. However free drinks and soup, relatively cheap and good food and a reclining chair footstool and blankets so you can sleep made me understand why.

You have to love how much pride goes into the food here considering it's an internet cafe. I don't think people would care too much if it wasn't that good or at least presented badly, but they still put in the effort to serve good food. Looking forward to a Japan visit some time in my life

I'm so used to DancingBacons eating out in public places and noisy restaurants that the sound of chewing and swallowing was way more pronounced and unexpected. Got a little surprised lol.

Japan understands introverts so well! I’d love to have something like this in America.

All these people complaining about the sounds, not realizing that this is a measure of just how quiet this cafe is. I'd have to be playing something on the headphones the whole time because it would be too quiet for me to stand.

It's reassuring knowing that people struggling financially or that need a safe space for the night have café's like these as an option.

It'd be nice to see places of this standard on a global scale but of course it's always easier said, than done. Especially when most places in the west (at the very least) prefer investing in ways to pretend that there aren't homeless people in their cities.

As a cybercafe connoisseur back here, this is the most cozy places I ever seen.

Japan is the type of country to have stuff that only us Americans can dream about. Free food and drink at essentially a hotel is insane
