Great review. You explained why you said what you said and not just calling them thrash.

I have to say you by far had the most honest non bias sounding review for these ..

I’ve heard the speaker and for someone that DJs event only once in a blue moon now these days I would consider these .. I think if you heavily Dj I’d be cautious with any starter lower end price gear only cause component used may be lower quality to keep cost down … but for a beginner and intermediate Dj that dont use this multiple times a week they would be more than viable..

..sound wise they are solid and I doubt the client your djing for will tell difference .. but thanks for the honest review .. im pushing for these kinda company come up in hopes it provide more option for DJs

Thanks for keeping it real. You, DJ Flowtunes and DJ Solstice seem to have the most genuine review of the Exoton's that I watched so far.
I literally watched another dj dump on these speakers only to turn around and announce that he's now a authorized dealer for a particular brand. I lost all respect for homie.

One speaker cost $2,000 and the other cost $700....it's a no brainer for low budget & new comer DJ's....that's more than twice the price!! Also, the Exoton's throw in a free bag & long pole for free, unlike the EV....I can buy a set of Exotons for LESS than the price of 1 EV!! I have both Exoton's in Black and White and they sound DAMN good for the price point.....Some people use Super Unleaded and the rest of us use regular Unleaded. Again, for the price, the Exoton's just are a better deal, point blank! Some of us drive Toyota's while others drive BMW's....When that BMW breaks down, it's going to cost you an arm and a leg. It should make sense to ANY business owner to cut cost & save money 💰 Some of those lower DJ gigs will get the Exoton's and those high end DJ gigs will get the higher quality speakers 🔊  Thanks for not hating on the Exoton's Mr. Terry like some of those other YouTubers who are mad that competition had finally come to the DJ game...Thanks to Exoton! To be honest, some of those so-called high end speakers are just ridiculously OVERPRICED....

Jump to 4:53 to hear audio samples.

I purchased the 1203s have done 4 gigs 50 to 75 people no issues, I will say have a little common sense and they will serve you well dont over push them I keep the volume at 12 o clock sounds clean I have got my money worth already☺

As always CT delivers his unbiased and professional opinion. Btw still waiting on that Rane S1 video.

I have heard some say they hear a hiss. Mines don’t and on the highs if you had your mixer setup and eq it they really sound good. It’s good to see a really respectful dj business owner give a 100% review. Yes myself and others done honest reviews as well.

Thank you for actually providing an adult review.I think with a little bit of e q.The speakers will do fine

I have had a pair since September and I've done 30 or 40 gigs and I'm still impressed with them for this particular price point.

the last song made me laugh out loud.  i like a bit of whimsy myself

Salute to YOU
DJ Cleveland Terry! Exceptional review and THANK YOU for your honesty in every review including this one over the years. Peace & Blessings

Great video appreciate the honest review.

I liked the 70s, but they didn't have enough juice for me so I went with the Maui 44G2s. Very happy with them. I'll probably get a set of the Exotons for my beginner DJ. Great Review!

The tops are bright on the exotons but most of us run our speakers to an external mixer so just gotta eq the highs a little and they’ll be way less piercing

@cleveland - Real classy DJ right here 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽 you gave it a fair shot. You buy certain gear for certain gigs. These hold their own - been using since last September every week at a bar gig- still going strong 💪

Thanks CT for just keeping it real!   All of your points hit exactly how I I feel about these.

I roll a little off the highs on my EQ and they really do sound great!

We bought them just to see if they’d be useful for some of our other DJs and then I’ve ended up using them.  Haha

EV70s and other column arrays almost have an Apple Tax on them, because companies realized they were being used in lucrative situations.  I’m gonna say, these speakers challenge that a bit, actually a lot.   One EV70 costs 3K.   Of course you get some very valid things with this (Quality name brand, more capable amp module (options-wise), easy parts availability for repair and honestly longterm quality is not something you’ll worry about with the EV.   Literally hundreds of events with my Evolve 50s.  I’ve pushed them hard too.

The Exoton will have to prove itself despite and beyond just its price because at the end of the day, we need equipment we can count on.  That’s paramount.

So far I’ve done 17 events with them and I’m beyond happy. And you’re right, the sub does kick.

I’ve noticed the new RCF models have released with simpler amp modules as well and nobody is complaining.
And they also seem a little better priced.   I think for DJs this design might be the ticket.   Most of us don’t need all of the tech.   We just want solid speakers that show up for the job at hand.

Thanks again for the honest review of these.   I don’t think any of us would have expected anything less from you!

Kudos. Great review. Described them perfectly. You’ve always gave good reviews. 💯

Great review! Appreciate your honesty!!

I appreciate the unbiased review!!! I ordered a set of the S-1503s to replace my Evox8's and definitely have been impressed with them. I do use a dbx rack and cleaning them up with a little EQ makes a big difference in the sound. So longevity is the question, do they last as long? Maybe, probably not but I can buy 4 backups just in case for the same price 🤷 I also have EV, RCF, LD systems, mid grade stuff like Alto, Harbinger, etc. I just like to buy gear as a part time DJ I may only use a set of speakers a couple times per season so while I really wanted the LD 44G2s it didn't make sense for me to spend $10,000 to buy a set in white and black. $2,200 for 2 sets of S-1503 just made better sense in my case. Now I'm rocking with Ape Labs lighting and Exoton speakers lol

Another thing that I'd like to mention is how receptive Exoton as a brand has been to the DJ community and the number of changes they've made just based on our feedback literally in real time. Oh you want a new logo design? done. don't like the logo emblem color? changed. Don't like the red accents on the amp plate? Gone. You want it in white? bet. You want bigger? We got you. Oh you'd prefer  it to be a 3 way? We're going to change that then. Sub covers? here you go. and even with other Exoton speakers that are undergoing revisions based on things we asked for. They have some exciting V2 things on their way to market. Any brand that supports us that way I feel like they've earned my support.
