"i think these people need an actual therapist" made me laugh too hard

kids may not know much but they will 100% be insanely and brutally honest

I know this video is silly but sometimes getting a fresh perspective from any source can be profound. We get so stuck in our own heads that sometimes an unbiased 7 year old is exactly what we need lol

The raw awkward energy these children possess is perfect lmao

I can’t wait for Cody and Kelsey to take marriage counseling from their kid
Edit: I don't know who annoys me more; people who don't get the joke or people who make fun of the people who don't get the joke

Cody saying “he ate it up and left no crumbs” in his 30 year old white dad voice is too much 😂

as a child therapist, I always try to normalize anxiety, and tell then about mine. Most do not realize their therapist has a therapist.

9:26 that's actually in INSANELY good retort to what that guy said.

The guy said all this bleak shit about death and inevitable end and the kid retorted with "well would you get married right now then?"

He basically said a workaround way of saying

"well in regards to your relationship, if everything comes to an end anyway whether it be death or a breakup, can you see yourself committing to this one person for the rest of that timeframe"

I don't even think he knew it but that was like a really, REALLY good answer to that.

honestly, isabella was spitting that sit in different rooms to cool down advice was solid

I hope Cody is allowed to have fun in this video

I’m currently in the last stages of getting a masters degree in counseling and when Cody said “I wish my therapist told me she was nervous too” I was like yes, thank god! 😭 And then he flipped and said “no wait, then that would mean she’s not experienced” lmao oh. Never mind.

Definitely save fights for later if you're tired or drunk or whatever, but I think the don't go to bed angry rule is more so about temporarily forgetting about your fight, hugging each other (even if its forced) and going to bed together.

Me and my bf do the separate rooms and cool down thing. We both have high intensity jobs so if one of us comes home our brains are already fried from the constant talking so we go to the bedroom and just lay down and decompress for 30 min. The other just starts on dinner or whatever. It works great.
We also have a thing where we say sympathy or solutions at the start of our ranting bc sometimes you guys gotta complain and vent and just get support and sympathy

I imagine them getting home and being like "but you told the therapist you would do this for me!" "Babe, the therapist is SEVEN!"

Sometimes the lack of filter and inexperience are way more thought provoking than a regular therapist ngl

i think the little girl suggesting the different rooms & giving a gift to initiate a genuine conversation were both pretty good suggestions. i think the little boy who mentioned proposal & the mr. beast video (lol), at the very least, gave that couple a fresh perspective to think about, especially with the karate belt analogy. the little boy (gavin?) gave the couple really good advice about splitting quality time evenly and HELPING each other do the chores rather than an even split, bc even that could be some good quality time as well. idk man, i worked with kids for years & i'm studying to be a child psychologist, and i think we can really learn a lot from kids! these kids basically said a lot of what an actual therapist would've, just with less steps and more room for interpretation lol.

About the "I'm nervous" comment I have to say, I have a therapist who is very vocal about her shortcomings & instances in her life where she's failed or hurt someone and it is genuinely such a big reason I have been able to open up to her so much and trust her because she interacts with me as a fellow human being instead of really medically or philosophically it's awesome. More therapists should do that!

Great vid, havent watched it yet but im a prophet

I feel like adults over complicate things. These kids gave very basic resolve to their issues and I think it can solve some of their problems if applied correctly. Giving a gift to someone that you don't get along with can open a door, finding ways to spend time with each other while doing things you both enjoy, helping each other. Good advice.

That first couple really couldn’t figure out “spend half the time doing what he likes and half the time doing what she likes” on their own?? lol
