Sometime around 2005-2006ish, my band at the time opened for necrophagist. Muhammed said “seeck reefs, bro” and I have still been riding that high to this day

Necrophagist is still just on another level. Since they broke up so early they remain in like this legendary status among metalheads.

Muhammed Suicmez is a literal genius. Classically trained pianist, engineering doctorate, absolute guitar virtuoso, a man of many many talents. He may never make another album again, but his contribution to heavy music can never be overstated.

Muhammad/Necrophagist was ahead of their time completely. This album could come out today and still be so relevant.

Whoever recommended this one is a legend

The kicker: there will never be another record because the bandleader rather wants to build BMWs...

Appreciate that you can give this kinda music it's due, many people can't get past blast beats and death growls. Seeing you review this gives me hope you might one day do Earthborn Evolution by Beyond Creation. Upvote please? Anyone?

Their best track is "Fermented Offal Discharge". You wouldn't guess from the name, but it holds the most iconic and beautiful guitar solo ever played.

You MUST react to Only Ash Remains by them

Always remember Muhammed shredded AND did beast vocals live.

Absolute tech death GOAT.

Elite musicians. They took me from radio metal to death metal with this exact song. I needed more

Yooooooo Necrophagist is one of the reasons I got into death metal lol

Started off ignoring the vocals because I'd heard Muhammad Suicmez was a sick guitarist and eventually just kinda got used to it.
