My older brother is schizophrenic and he has this exact delusion. The first time he had a manic break we were shocked he thought he had aids somehow. Doctors said infection paranoia is very common. This dude is not a lolcow. He is genuinely sick.
he should get into voice over work. he has an incredible classic american voice, like a real 50s dad vibe. I feel bad for him though, he clearly isn't getting whatever treatment he needs, and you can tell he is putting a lot of effort in to trying to do the right stuff. it's just really hard when your view on reality is warped and you can't tell what is real and what isn't. all this shit is real to him and he is responding to it in an incredibly reasonable and measured way, just someone needs to help him.
I worked with a guy like this, any time you saw sores on his face you knew he was about to have a manic episode and miss work, but when he wasnt manic he was the best heavy industrial fabricator iv ever seen
hes got a fantastic cadence of speech, hes fit, and if you imagine him without all the scabs, hes attractive. He seems kind, because despite the mental condition he's going through, hes very considerate of others, its such a shame what the mind not working will take away from the world.
From the comments he makes about his mom, finances, and "blocking" medical appointments it sounds like she is probably his legal guardian and controls his finances.
I work with people like him near daily and the comments and talking points he makes are EXACTLY the same. Considering the choices he makes when he has money, I wouldn't be surprised if this was the case.
Its got to be syphilis. Theres no other explanation. If we're to believe his stories about dating and going after questionable women, this has untreated syphilis written all over it.
