Lara is The Queen of Resonance and vowel coordination. She is The Ring. The perfect singer.

She's not singing her version she wrote the song . Dimash covered it. 🎉❤😊😊

Thank you for your reaction, shes amazing, and it's not her version, its her song she wrote the lyrics

The warmth in her voice is so beautiful😍
No one sings Adagio better than Lara❤️

Fun fact about Lara: Lara Fabian was born gifted with such a talent for singing. PLUS, she was very well trained by the best opera teachers from Belgium and Italy, but she decided to sing pop songs, she also has the knowledge to sing in operatic way, she studied from her 8 to 18 at the Belgium Conservatory of Music (there she learned Bel Canto, piano [she composes her own songs on piano), she started singing professionaly at the age of 15, in 1985, her first video clipe came when she turned 16, in 1986 and her first world wide album was released at the begin of 1990. Then since 1998 she kept having vocal lessons with her Italian teacher untill nowdays, she has two vocal teachers (From Belgium and Italy) and she keeps having vocal lessons of bel canto at least 3 times per week on-line. Lara also has been working as a vocal coach on The Voice Canada, she already worked as the vocal coach at the Star Academy program in France from 2004 /2008. Please react to Lara Fabian singing one of her bests songs ever, called You Not from Here, before start singing she explained how she "discovered that she was a singer". You gonna enjoy it for sure. ❤

Plus: Lara speaks fluently and composes in 4 languages (English, Spanish, Italian and French), but she is able to speak and understand a little bit of Russian, Dutch and Portuguese, she already sang live in 12 languages.
Thank you.

LARA is a World Star and she will remain so forever!!!!

"She can go louder."

Why, yes, yes, she can :)

To this day, she's the only vocalist who can support her entire vocal register. From a very deep C#3 to an extremely highly belted A5, and even an amazingly delicate Eb6 in her head voice.

She was known for her resonance, given the title of The Ring by many of her fans, due to her extremely piercing resonance.

I can listen to her songs over and over again. 😊
Fantastic performer. Classy lady. It can't get any better.

🇨🇦  Lara is a fully trained lyric soprano who writes, produces, arranges and sings most of her own  performances !   She is a pure Master Class every time !   🇨🇦

Adagio is an italian word, that means "Slowly".
This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a  piece of a sonata, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace.

The music from this song of Lara Fabian  is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and gave  his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself.

The classic music piece is globally famous and there were many different translations into different songs, with different music compositions, mostly operatic, and different lyrics (the band Renaissance, Daniele Licari, Sarah Brightman and Sissel Kyrkjebo for instance).

But the most famous version, by far, is Lara’s version:
it was translated into a pop song for her, she wrote lyrics in italian then co-wrote the english lyrics for it and is the original performer of these 2 versions.
She kept the title Adagio and wrote a story with a double meaning: a woman that is awaiting to find her love / an artist that is awaiting the god of inspiration.

This song has become a classic and has been covered by many : Shirley Bassey (!!), Dimash (Lara is his absolute idol and he covered several of her songs), Floor Jansen, Polina Gagarina, Dmitri Hvorostovsky, Julie Anne San Jose, Charice Penpengco, Giulia Falcone, Laura Bretan, Il Divo, Rimar, Vitas, Anastasia Luna, Evgenia Fanfara, , …
They made great covers but none of these match the amazing storytelling performance of Lara, or her ability to use vocal subtleties to be in sync with the music, exposed in her live from the concert From Lara with Love.

Her italian version is also amazing. A famous italian version:

Or you can check her recent excellent renditions:

-  in Zagreb,  late april 2024 (italian) : https://youtu.be/06WOD2AxTTM?si=pXrU2vQ1Lrca2PTs

- In London, Royal Albert Hall, with Hauser playing cello, on May 9th 2024 (english): https://youtu.be/ikWpOJT4y9g?si=WSoA4RXiw-TMmRNv

Fun fact: Lara Fabian is well known as THE RING in the music industry. Such a perfect putch, crystal clear resonance, master phrasing and vowel pronunciation and breathing support. ❤ She's is also a master as a storyteller due to her long and deep training to become an Opera Singer.
Lara's Vocal range at this live performance : G3 - F#5

Lara the best the queen ❤❤❤

It s the original, not a cover. Nice vocal anlysis MadMusician

Adagio dates back as far 1685 as an instrumental piece played during Opera breaks.  Lara was asked to write lyrics, she responded “Are you  crazy?  That is an Italian Masterpiece!   Eventually, Lara was convinced she wrote Italian & English Lyrics for Adagio.  You will find Dimash attempts to cover everything Lara sings.  Our friend Gabriel Henrique has preformed with a Full Orchestra twice in Romania, once in Italy, at a NATO Summit in Washington D.C. that brought other singers from around NATO.  Gabriel had a solo concert.  Recording with version’s, not simply covers.

Love Lara ❤️
Love from Denmark ❤️

First, I am technically a vocal coach now due to my current regular student (and others that have come and gone at this point) and am new to the game, but still a coach now so the title isn't a lie.

Second, just because I say Je Suis Malade by Lara Fabian (as this example makes sense for the video I got a lot of comments on this under) that DOESN'T MEAN that's who wrote or composed it. It means that's the song and that's the singer performing it. I hope I don't have to clarify that too many times because it shouldn't be that hard to understand. If it helps I'll put Sung By (Insert Artist) instead but good grief if that's what it takes. Not trying to put anyone down, just shocked at how one word makes so many of you misunderstand what the whole title means (which is of no one's fault, if anyone more my fault than yours, again, trying to say it as respectfully as I possibly can).

Third, I know you guys said to stop pausing it so that I can react and explain later. Not only did I not do that here, but that will never happen because as a coach you guys should know why I get amazed in a structured way involving individual time taken to explain each point instead of keeping track all the thoughts and stuffing them at the end of the video to make it longer than necessary with the everlasting risk of me forgetting a point I would've made more easily if I had just paused it. So, no: I will not wait until the end. I will make time for each point throughout the reaction every time.

🇨🇦  Watch for the comment(s)  from Eric Sicard to learn more about the song and the singer !
He is our resident Lara expert and if you are lucky,  he will also tell you about other songs (over 200) in her repertoire  !    🇨🇦

it's her song, she wrote the lyrics!

Lara ❤
