In 2007, "Idiocracy" hit theaters and flopped at the box office. Almost twenty years later, Mike Judge's satire seems like a documentary from the future: a president with a background in wrestling, colloquial language, facts as negotiable, loyalty over competence, and media optimized solely for the next sensation.
Five points illustrate how close Camacho's year 2505 is to Trump's America—from the disinfectant proposal to the Sharpie on the hurricane map to Jay Clayton's refusal to announce the 2020 election results. And then there are the statistics on Brain Rot: an average of 6.5 hours of screen time and an attention span that has plummeted from 150 to 47 seconds.
Judge wanted to make a satire. What he ended up with was a prediction.

Habe mein Leben in der IT verbracht und lange beobachet.
Für meine Kinder tut es mir Leid!
Der Irrsinn wird weiter gehen.
Und somit ist President Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Camacho dem Clown Donald dem Ersten unendlich weit voraus!! Denn diese Weisheit geht Donald völlig ab.
Den Film kennen nur zu Wenige.
