I started to listening to Sheikh Yasser Al-Dosari's Qur'an recitation and he slowly made me quit music and replace it with Qur'an. Ever since then I've memorized about 3.5 Juz of the Qur'an, Alhamdulillah. It was a bit hard at the beginning but slowly got easier.
Some tips for anyone starting new:
1. Fix your Salah, and sincerely make dua to Allah SWT.
2. Before starting with the Qur'an, start with fixing your tajweed and try to perfect it. With a really good tajweed you can recite and memorize beautifully.
3. Start by revising the portion of the Qur'an that you would've memorized years or months back (for me it was the 30th Juz).
4. Have someone to recite it to so that you can fix any mistakes.
5. Try to divide the page into 3 parts, such that each part has 5 lines making it a total of 15 lines that is 1 page.
6. Keep the memorizing for early mornings and then keep doing revision of the previous portions for the rest of the day.
In Sha Allah may Allah SWT make it easy for all of us to memorize the Qur'an.

Allahumabarik akhi , really enjoyed the video !This randomly popped up on my recommendations and it’s really encouraged to start something which I’ve been putting off for so long. InshaAllah this can be the beginning of my hifz journey too. Jazakallah Khair for the tips !
