Key West Florida travel guide: explore the Hemingway House, Key West Lighthouse, Shipwreck Treasure Museum, Key West Aquarium, Duval Street, Sloppy Joe’s and more.

After more than 30 years of visiting Key West, you'd think we'd seen just about everything. Apparently not.

Today we return to the Ernest Hemingway Home and Museum, tour the famous house and writing studio, meet some of the six-toed cats, and learn more about Hemingway's life in Key West.

Then we climb the Key West Lighthouse for one of the best views on the island before walking Duval Street, stopping at legendary Sloppy Joe's, and discovering a side of Key West we somehow never paid much attention to before.

But the biggest surprises come later.

We visit the Key West Shipwreck Treasure Museum and the historic Key West Aquarium—two attractions I wasn't expecting much from—and both turn out to be much better than expected.

And because this is Key West, there is also live music, cold beer, fresh blackened snapper, waterfront views, and plenty of wandering around the Conch Republic.
