When I say the game flopped I meant it from a player sentiment standpoint. Going from 51% Steam Reviews to now 86% is definitely what I'd consider a comeback! I've been repping this game from day one and I was super glad to see that shift from others as well.

Maaan, I'm 50yrs old and my teen son and I have teamed up and are playing together. He does all the cool faction quests, armor/ set gathering, most of the boss killing...l do all the exploration, abyss core gathering, puzzles, camp management, farming...we love it!! We beat RDR2, Botw/Totk, Spider-Man series, Uncharted Series, Ghost...This one is giving us a run for our money!!! 😅

I bought it originally because I heard they developed their own engine and any games that looks this good and the developers make the engine means they are passionate about the vision they have

The Mrs bought this game for me. Told friends that I didn't like it, but I can't tell the Mrs that. Tried it again, and now I'm 86 hours in, and it's easily one of my most favourite games of all time. Along with RDR2, TW3, Elden Ring, and TES Oblivion. Well done, Pearl Abyss. 👌

🎉 playing this morning, I moved into an Indian style seated position, and lean forward to focus on playing a game that had me feeling completely immersed. I haven’t felt that way since I was a kid! (Dad Gamer 47 years old)

160 hours and I have uncovered a 3rd of the map. I’m not complaining either. It’s so damn fun and there’s so much to explore and do. That’s what it’s all about. A month in and I still look forward to playing.

I m not doing any quests yet im finding new stuff everyday… im basically just running around everywhere to reveal entire map with slow ass given horse 😂
