I paid for a rental of the Tesla Model Y Juniper AWD Dual Motor and drove it for 200km myself. I wanted to personally verify what exactly makes this car sell so well—since it has outsold the Sorento as of May 2026.
Starting with the ride comfort, the inclusion of frequency-sensitive dampers has definitely changed the feel of going over speed bumps, and the seats, now in the Juniper model, offer a top-notch level of seating comfort. The ventilated seats are also genuinely cool. The 0-100 km/h acceleration in 4.8 seconds is powerful enough to hold its own anywhere, and the fuel efficiency was 5.34 km/kWh, even though I drove mostly on highways.
However, to be honest, this car clearly has its downsides, such as the feeling of the chassis shaking from minor vibrations, issues with the stock dash cam's image quality, electricity costs in surveillance mode, and the lack of localization for AutoSteer. In particular, there are far too many videos hyping up AutoSteer as if it were a fully autonomous driving system, so I have stated the facts exactly as they are. Since I rented the car with my own money rather than receiving it from Tesla, I have included both the good and the bad aspects.

믿고보는 편입니다.
목정성이 뚜렷한 자동차 유튜버들보면 보다가 그냥 채널 돌려버리는데
그런면에서 조금만 지금처럼 조심해서 방송해주면 앞으로도 너무 좋을거 같아요^^
고로 지금 촬영중인 모델은 25년식 모델인걸로 생각하고 있습니다. 그리고 중요한 포인트 젠그레이 시트 선택시 중앙센터콘솔 사이드가 젠그레이로 바뀜.
블랙박스 PC로 보면 잘보임... 카컴이나 핸드폰으로 보면 안보임... 블박 설치하는 이유는 긴박한 상황시 음성녹음이 안되서 설치들 한다고 하더라구요.
오토파일럿 그냥 주행보조장치... 그 이상 그 이하도 아님..
주니퍼 오너인데 1년 넘게 타다보니 단점은 그냥 적응하면서 타니까 전체적으로 참 좋긴 합니다.
그래서 다음 차도 테슬라로 계속 구매해서 탈 것 같습니다.
주니퍼RWD를 기다리고 있는 상태 입니다.
개인적인 생각에는 차선 변경(핸들조작)을 임의로 시도 했을때는 브레이크를 밝았을 때와 같이 꺼지는게 맞다고 생각 합니다.
HDA2는 차선변경이 상당히 느립니다. 영상에서 주니퍼는 곱절은 빨라 보입니다.
HDA2의 차선 유지 기능은 차선 정 중앙이 아닙니다. 1차선 기준 우측으로 편향 되 있고, 국도의 경우 굴곡이 있는 차선,급커브는 대부분 유지 못합니다.
차선 유지 복원력이 너무나 강력해 위험하다 생각 합니다.
고속도로(고속화도로)에서 방향지시등을 켜지 않은 상태에서는 긴급한 상황에서 회피를 해도 어마어마한 힘으로 다시 본래 차선으로 당겨 옵니다. 대응이 안되는 분들은 전복까지 우려 됩니다.
