I’m not sure if people truly understand how amazing it is to not only have this comic available for free on YouTube but to put it in motion. You’re an absolute legend for doing this.

The art in this comic is legitimately amazing.

the thing probably has no problem surviving underwater consider it's adapted to multiple planets' environments.

all the male voices were top notch but that one female sounded so robotic. overall this was really good

In every comic of the thing at the end maCready ends up going to sleep

This Comic Proofs That The Computer Blair Used In The 1982 Is Not Kidding.

"Damn outta Fuel...good thing there's a full gas can in the snow by my feet"

That fucking SEAL team commander.

MacReady: "All the other men were infected by a shape-shifting alien ultimate life-form that will consume humanity."
SEAL Captain: "haha nice story crazy guy"
*SEAL grunt prods a corpse of lovecraftian horror 2 meters away*
SEAL grunt: "Dafuq is this?"
SEAL Captain: "lol dunno definitely not an alien let the bioteam check it out"

Remove Darwin award candidates and the Thing has no chance lol.

150 lbs of fuel left?

Well Aviation gas is about 6 lbs/gallon, that's about 25 gallons. Japanese helicopter probably reads it in liters, so that's about 94-95 liters of AVGas left. Hughes 500s consume between 80 and 90 liters of fuel to the hour given Density Altitude and other performance factors.

Assuming worst case scenario, you've still got an hour of fuel left, MacCready.

The artwork of this comic is amazing. So much depth and realism of light.

you did a great job on the sounds, gives it that dark atmosphere. i like it

8:52 I think that Navy Seals member is really sick when he touch the Thing.

I made these because A: I didn't want the story to end, because I'm a fan. B: As an exercise in editing and voice acting/direction. And C: to gain more exposure for my production company.

Childs was a fool, the instant that thing reached water the whole world was basically boned.

This comic is great and you guys did a really good job with narrating and making the voiceovers :)

The thing is (no pun intended), that everything happens very conviniend: MacReady gets found by a ship, gets found by the marines at the camp, gets found by childs (wich was also found by a team). The Arctic seems to be a pretty crowded place ;) but i guess it is needed to keep the story going.

I'd really like to see someone make an animation based around this comic in particular - I feel like Climate of Fear and Eternal vows seemed more action-based than was necessary, but this keeps the bleak tone of the film whilst still being enjoyable.
Also, the Pybus, Pilot and Erskine Things are just pretty cool, and I'd really like to see their transformations in more detail.

12:11 McGrady voice -Believe it ernstein! it's the realest thing in your goddamn life

The dialogue is rough but still an enjoyable story.

I like how there's so much recap exposition but there is no way anyone who knows about these comics isn't aware of the movie.

If only they did another 3rd of the Thing in 2024
