After ten years shooting documentaries for broadcast, I've spent a long time looking for lenses that give me the flexibility I need when filming real life — without giving up the character and control of cinema lenses. These new full-frame cine zooms might just be the closest I've found.
In this film I take them out into the real world and put them through the kind of shooting I actually do: fast-moving documentary work, manual focus, long focus pulls, zooming while maintaining focus, shallow depth of field, bokeh, flare, focus breathing and plenty of real-world run-and-gun shooting.
I haven't held back on the things I don't like about them either.

The lenses featured in this film are the DZOFilm Arles 25–75mm T2.6 and 65–180mm T2.6 full-frame cine zooms.
Disclosure
DZOFilm lent me these lenses to me for this collaboration, I am sending them back. However as part of the collaboration they are giving me a different set of lenses. I only agreed to do this review because they have no control over my script and even told me to be as brutally honest as I wanted. And they haven't seen this video before publication. Everything I say in this film is my own opinion and experience using the lenses.
