Episode 183 - Let's check out the original Xbox. It was a powerhouse of a console during its time, but not many people talk about this one much any more. They really should. Could this be the best Xbox console that ever was?

Story time: when I was 9 I asked my mom for this. She convinced me I wouldn't get it, so I gave up hope. I opened all my Christmas presents totally forgetting I even wanted one. About an hour after I opened all my gifts my mom brings out my last gift, The Xbox. The first game I got for it... Bloodrayne. It was fucking amazing. I'm getting all teary eyed just thinking about it.

XBOX feels like Sega's last system to me actually. So many sega exclusives were out on xbox. It was like an upgraded dreamcast.

This console still holds up graphically IMO.

The end skit should have had Joe shouting "LEFT LEFT LEFT" while the two of them carried the Duke.

So you're telling me there were HD/60fps games in the early 2000s, but a lot games today can't even give me 60fps? :/

I love Crimson Skies! I have a setup in my basement with four Trinitrons and four Xboxes, so the multiplayer is still super fun locally.

35:00 This is inaccurate. You CAN obtain the patch without Xbox Live. The patch is included in the physical "Halo 2 Multiplayer Map Pack", along with a few other online patches as well as, obviously, multiplayer maps. The pack is also compatible with 360, and it can be obtained for cheap.
