Tony, Newt, And Justin review DREDD. In this Podcas /Movie Review they will talk about the things that make this movie Dredd 2012, or Dredd 3D as it was also known, Awesome! From the incredible action, great visual effects, and and how it adapted the comics in away that was unique but also faithful.

Mega City One is a vast, violent metropolis where felons rule the streets. The only law lies with cops called "judges," who act as judge, jury and executioner, and Dredd (Karl Urban) is one of the city's most feared. One day, Dredd is partnered with Cassandra (Olivia Thirlby), a rookie with powerful psychic abilities. A report of a terrible crime sends Dredd and Cassandra to a dangerous area controlled by Ma-Ma (Lena Headey), a drug lord who will stop at nothing to protect her empire.

I remember seeing Judge Dredd in theaters and seeing Dredd in 3D. I enjoy both for different reasons, but Dredd was better IMO, with Judge Dredd i kept thinking "well, this is the closest thing to a demolition man sequel we'll get, not a good sequel but an ok 1".

Side story, my uncle was an artist on a bunch of comic books during the 80's to the early 2000s. And one of the comic books he worked on was Judge Dredd. During the making of the Stallone Judge Dredd, everyone working on the comic was allowed to visit the set and meet some of the cast. My uncle was able to shake hands and talk with Stallone. And even was invited to the premier and was only a few rows back from the cast!! Probably the closest my uncle was to being a celebrity.

Honestly my favorite part of this movie is the fact it feels like a fan film with an actual budget

The gun that Rambo shot in the back of the truck is a M2 .50 cal, it’s not a mini gun.

Newt picked up Justin's glasses... and something about that little act just shows how truly good of a friend he probably is.

This film was absolutely brilliant and even more so in 3d it had incredible visuals especially the slowmo scenes I've watched both versions and 3d really does add to the movie experience shame it didn't make that box office $ as a sequel could have been great

Simon Bisley is one of the best artists to ever work in comics. The man is a legend. Also did a lot of Lobo's graphic novels, before they completely changed it

Oh man I’ve been on a dredd kick for the last 3 months I’m so happy you are doing this. I saw this movie about 4 months ago and it got me into the comics, board game and video game.
