Camillo’s voice actor isn’t even a singer. This was his first time signing (the one who shape shifts). I was shocked bc I loved how he sang his verse.

Felix, the man in the couple, has one of the BEST voices in this particular song imo. The way he sings "go oooonnnnn~" is the most beautiful thing I have heard in my life

I love how during Pepa and Felix's duet, her lines end on a high note that emphasizes her stress and fear, while Felix's lines end lower and more soothing. Everything he says is trying to look on the bright side of the memory and, though we don't get to see their past, I think that part of his personality is why she married him.

Also, Lin-Manuel Miranda wrote the songs for Encanto AND Moana. He's amazing.

i still get GOOSEBUMPS when they start singing their visions together

Lin Manuel Miranda created the songs in this movie, and he also created Hamilton, he is ammaaazinggg at creating music that defies genres, you should definitely react to more of his stuff!

Fun Fact: Dolores’s part is amplified to match her super hearing powers. You hear it as how she would: The fabric ruffling, the air swishing, and the sound of their steps.

Fun fact: Dolores is the quieter one in the song and Camilo is one of the loudest, is not confirmed but I've heard It's cause when people lie they tend to speak loudly so other people believe them, Camilo's verse is the one that holds the falsest things about Bruno while Dolores' is the more sympathetic towards him.

I am standing by the statement that:

"ARE YOU TELLING THE STORY, OR AM I!?"
"I'm sorry, mi vida, go on."

is the most realistic depiction of marriage in an animated film to date.

Fun fact about the table setting scene: when a bunch of solo singers come together singing their own individual verses is called a madrigal.

The name of the family is the Madrigals

An interesting thing, in Dolores' verse you can distinctly hear every little noise made by her moving. This either symbolizes her super hearing or implies we are hearing the song through her ears.

Personally, I think that “Time for dinner!” transition where everyone comes in and starts singing their individual verses is what made this song get so popular so fast. It just explodes my brain how Lin Manuel Miranda wrote so many verses, all with completely different tones and styles, and then at the end fits them together like a perfect jigsaw puzzle.I’m sure there are musical reasons that it works, but it blows my tiny mortal mind every time I hear it

The “time for dinner” then the merge of all their verses made this song sooo amazing. I think that’s what made the song so popular. It makes it sooo catchy

All the song in the movie are incredible. Also be prepared to WEEP at certain songs. They have genuinely moved me in a way I never expected. The writing and the production in those songs is stellar. Plus the movie is, really, magical.

I have such a huge crush on Felix and Pepa's relationship, the way they were drawn plus the absolute perfection of the voice actors, their scenes are just pure chemistry

4:44 bro buddy looks like he is falling in love 🥰 ❤

Honestly, Disney's been knocking it out of the park when portraying genuine emotion in their characters. Especially in song. I think they got a lot of good practice with Frozen 2 and Moana. Show Yourself from Frozen 2 and How Far I'll Go & I am Moana from Moana are great key examples.

Fun fact: Camilo’s voice actor (the curly guy that shapeshifts) is NOT a singer, this was his first time doing it, but he sounded so professional that everyone thought he was an expert.

7:21 this part makes the song sadder aster you watch the movie, knowing he's sitting right outside that wall listening to his family talk about him.

My mind still can't process the part when they all sing together, it's like a lot of feelings fusing to create an unusual but perfect harmony. It's too good. My ears can't get used to it yet.

I LOVE how Felix supports Pepa while she tells her story of their wedding day. He views it as the most beautiful day regardless of the hurricane because he ONLY sees Pepa.
