For the acknowledgement of all animal lovers. Please try to understand the situation. This video is from the elephant orphanage. There are two elephant orphanages in sri lanka. One is at Udawalawa & the other is at Pinnawala. These baby elephants are mostly found injured, sick or lost in the jungle and being rescued. They are tied when only at feeding time. Otherwise it is so hard to handle two three heavy babies together at the feeding time. After feeding they are released back for playing unless the baby elephant does not have any medication going on. They are being taken care till they are ready to send back to the jungle. If any elephant has a permanent injury or a vision loss, it will be taken care for the rest of it's life at the orphanage as it can't survive alone at the jungle.
It's nice to read so many critical comments from so many informed and trained elephant keepers. That is the wonder of the internet and you tube, because you can be sure to read opinions from the best experts on any topics, not to mention kind-hearted and gentle readers.
Please give them some love. These are such tiny babies. Pat them, comfort them, let them play and forage! It doesn't cost anything to show some feelings towards the animals in your care.
It's obvious that the people, who have been talking about inhuman treatment and abuse and etc., , have never been near animals. Forget elephants, just try to bottle-feed two kids (baby goats) unrestrained and come back and tell me what happened.
OH MY GOD! WHAT THE FUCK are they doing TYING UP TWIN BABIES WITH ROPE?! LEAT THEM RUN FREE WITH THEIR MOTHER!! LET THEM DRINK THEIR MOTHER'S MILK!!! Elephants TIED UP with CHAINS, prodded and poked with CRAZY SPIKES!! This is HELL, HELL, HELL!
They are tied up coz they are very mischievous like human babies they run about n mess and break everything It gets difficult to keep them in one place even while feeding them . It’s not one or two baby elephant they look after they are more then 60-80 around to look after these are all wounded ones bought here to be treated and then left back where they belong. Please visit the place if you hv no much knowledge ✌🏻✌🏻✌🏻🙏✌🏻✌🏻😇peace . Everyone asking why they tied
